If you don't find yourself playing on the big screen often or are having an adjustment period between another handheld device to console, the Switch Lite would be your best bet. I bought this system to have a backup Switch (also to use for Pokemon games since I have no friends to trade with) just in case something could happen to my normal Switch (which was suffering through many issues at the time). As someone who primarily played handheld, this is great being able to play console games on the go! Plus, you don't have to worry or size or even misplacing a joy con. Having this for a few years, I can say that there haven't been any issues with it thankfully. I think my only disappointment is the lack of adaptive brightness and rumble. If you play a game where you might need rumble to play through a certain part, you'll possibly have a bit of trouble (I know I did).

I got this a while ago because I couldn't quite afford the switch and it was so portable and perfect for playing whenever and whereever. I just got the switch, so I gave this one to my little 8 y.o. brother, and he absolutely adores it.
