I purchased this gift for my son as a birthday present. We already have a regular Nintendo switch, but I wanted to get him something that would be on the go for when we are on trips. Works the same as the regular Nintendo switch accept you cannot hook it up to the TV. Other than that he loves it. Remind me of a technology advanced Game Boy

I've never bought Nintendo's big consoles, only their handhelds, from Game Boy to New 3DS XL and now Switch Lite. My favorite genre is RPGs and Switch Lite has a good variety of originals and ports of the big consoles, I know that certain commitments have to be made but it is very good to play "The SWitcher 3" in a break or revisit Final Fantasy XI while I'm waiting at the DMV As my 3DS XL, my Switch Lite little by little is becoming a little RPG machine.

My granddaughter got this for Christmas and she was over the moon happy with it. She has been on it as often as we allow her to as we do limit her screen time somewhat. We got her the Mario trio of games and that has kept her entertained. It was easy to figure out how to work it and we are totally satisfied. She actually preferred the lite because she said she didn't care that she couldn't play it on the tv.

We purchased this Nintendo Switch Lite for our 10 year old son for his birthday. His older brother has a regular Switch and loves it. We went with the Switch Lite for the younger son as he tends to be pretty hard on his toys. Being that the SL is one solid unit, and doesn't have the detachable Joy-cons, it comes across as being a little more tough. We did also purchase a protective case for it too - just in case. As with our other son, it took a while for this gift to get used more. With kids having access to so many types of tablets and devices nowadays, the SL with its smaller screen isn't always an instant hit. But, the thing is that Nintendo has so many great games and third party software support for this system, that you really can't go wrong. And now, several months later, he is really starting to enjoy his SL.

Absolutely love my switch lite. I love that its much lighter than the regular.

Perfect little device to kill time when you’re constantly traveling.

I bought this simply because I really wanted a switch and everything was starting to sell out. I had this for most of the year of 2020 and kinda regret my purchase. It plays the games well- fits comfortably in the hand and the screen resolution is actually really good. However it has some issues : It’s small. Which was to be expected. But smaller than I thought. My eye sight isn’t very good so I don’t recommended the lite for those who have a struggle seeing far away. I held it too close to my face and always got a headache. The battery is not good. I knew the switch batteries weren’t good, but after seeing my brothers regular full size switch , I realized the lite battery is very very bad. It would die after like 30 minutes. Or get very close to dying. So not exactly good for taking on the go like a road trip unless you plan to have a way to charge it or only play for like 10 minutes. Some good points: The lite looks really good. Even in grey, the color is really nice. The buttons all work and don’t feel cheap. I really like the idea that it reminds me of the handheld DS systems. Honestly- the lite is good for smaller children who shouldn’t be playing a gaming system for hours. It’s also probably a lot harder to break than the full switch. It’s also good to have as a back up. I did end up getting the full size switch to compare and noticed that yes, the battery life is a lot better. The screen is just wide enough to see held away from the face. It still fits comfortably in the hand. And TV mood is really nice to have. Plus- the system rumbles, which I really like. Over all , the lite is okay.

Great to reward your kids after a good day. They love it. Can't wait to play with it.

I did not care for it. I did not charge it for a couple weeks or power on and it stoped working and won’t charge any more
