If you don't plan on playing on a tv and don't mind a slightly smaller screen this is worth the price! It stays charged pretty well and it's easy to take places. Color is a plus.

Full disclosure: I already have a Nintendo Switch (second generation) and I love the system. The Nintendo Switch Lite is meant to address some portability issues I had with the original, which is why I decided to give it a go. First things first: Portability. The original Switch always felt pretty good in my hands. However, it was always a bit cumbersome to handle sometimes and I would not play for extended periods. The detachable controllers are nice, but they feel a bit too loose and clunky. I have small hands, so I tended to feel uncomfortable while grabbing the unit, which now feels like a tablet. I hardly ever used the screen touch feature, especially since holding it on one hand feels unbalanced. So, upon handling the Switch Lite for the first time, I really was surprised as to how light and small the system is. I must say that it does kind of feel like a toy. I am actually able to put it in my pants’ pockets most of the time. I picked the gray/white system which looks a bit less “flashy” and fits my style. It has a matte finish that seems to be fingerprint-resistant. The unit features one solid body with the controls a bit more congested. However, this to me proved much more convenient. The shoulder buttons feel just like the original, but I can cover them easier. The action buttons are a tad “springier” and the replacement of the directional action buttons for an actual D-pad was gold. The screen is great, being perhaps a bit brighter (or bluish?). While the resolution is the same (720P undocked), it seems sharper because of the smaller screen, making a higher PPI (pixels per inch) display. Every game I tried looks gorgeous and plays just as expected. The battery life is about 3-4 hours depending on what game you are playing, the screen brightness and if you are connected to WIFI. It’s worth mentioning that the Lite does not have rumble features. So, the big question is: If I already have an Original Switch, should I get this one in addition, replacement or skip entirely? This is a complicated question and really depends on your gaming habits. If you play games on the go, on the couch or when in bed most of the time and do not own a Switch, I highly suggest considering the Lite, you would love it. If you would like to play titles on the TV, even every once in a while, I would recommend reconsidering, since the Lite does not have the “switch” feature and cannot be docked. If you play co-op or party games, then the Lite is not for you. While you could use wireless controllers in addition to the unit’s, the screen is so small that everyone must be within a couple of feet to see it and the Lite does not have a kickstand. Actually, several games do not work well or at all on this unit. I had a horrible time playing some puzzles in Breath of the Wild that involved motion controls. In the end, I must admit that the Lite has become the go-to console for me -and I have all, including a high-end PC. I usually play on the couch when watching a TV show or while on YouTube, when I’m at lunch at work or simply right before I go to sleep (not sure how healthy this is but…). One big gripe I do have is that I wish they had included Bluetooth compatibility since I mostly use wireless headsets. I mean, even the PSP had it. I do have a dongle, but it adds to the form factor of the unit. So, I guess it worked for me and I am very happy with it. Full console experiences in the palm of your hand? Yes, please! But honestly, it can be a bit hard to justify buying it if you have the original Switch, or worse, if you have the newer version (much longer battery life). I’d say just go try it; hold it in your hands and visualize your experience with it.

Curbside pick-up was fast, Device is running perfectly fine and quick. Storage only holds about 3-4 Games, so a Micro SD card is definitely recommended if you plan on buying the games virtually!

Great toy. Was a live saver when traveling. Just needs a power cord and good to go. Good battery life. Just wish I was better at the games.

My daughter loves the color and portability, battery life, and free games. I would recommend getting memory card just in case but it's been a great purchase.

Although the switch lite is small it has to be my favorite. it’s small, portable, and fits into any bag. i love to play games on the go and it fits into my backpack and doesn’t add any weight. i also think that the switch lite is great for kids! it’s cheaper than the other models and you can still play your favorite switch games.

Love playing with my Nintendo Switch Light. Its really easy to use and light for taking it to different places, I love the color too.Would definitely recommend.

Love this!! Very easy to use and the picture quality is way better than I expected. Very sturdy and fits in the palm of my hands perfectly. Would definitely recommend this! You can take it anywhere with you, and the kids just love it. Keeps them quiet throughout a long car ride as well. Worth every penny.

I like the lite a lot more than the regular version. The joycons on the regular version are a notorious issue, the original regular version didn't keep a very long charge, and there's not THAT many games that are multiplayer, so it defeats the purpose of paying the extra $120 to be able to play with others. The lite is durable, no issues with the joycons, you can buy protective casing for it, and the battery lasts longer... and they're $120 bucks cheaper. Save your money and just buy the better product, the Lite.

My son and I love this product. It’s easy to use and it performs flawlessly and the operating system performs flawlessly and downloads are quick and easy!

I debated getting this device but with so many games I like, I don’t regret the purchase.

Great mobile game device easy to setup. Overall hardware quality is solid, screen is a great size, super clear display and battery lasts hours.

l got this for me and my brother l love it for its price definitely something to carry on a plane you will have fun because you can get a hours of play time and enjoyment

Nintendo has grown up! Amazing graphics. Easy to use controllers. Battery lasts for a very long time. I bought one for my grandson. And I'm getting myself one!

Great little portable version. Teen is very pleased. Definitely expect to add an SD card for proper storage. Best with smaller hands.

Great color, feels better than the other switches, but beware if you want this for a younger kid. For mobile handheld gaming the lite beats the oled and regular switch in terms of portability. It just feels better in the hand and it does what you need to do; but if you’re going to play docked avoid this at all costs as it can’t be docked no matter what. I bought 5 of these for my nephews and they’ve gone through 3 of them already. The blue one has something weird going on, it fell, with a bumper and screen protector installed, and the screen just broke. The blue one is under a month old and it blue my mind how fast it broke. It can be repaired but the earlier switch lites just felt more resilient.
