My two biggest issues is that the games to play on the switch are expensive, so you’re going to end up spending more than $200 and it feels like the battery doesn’t last very (it’s probably a me thing). Also, your going to want to purchase the 1 year of Nintendo online because it the best value for your money. The biggest difference I noticed between my 2DS and the switch is I sank more money into the switch than my DS because with my DS 1) it’s cheaper 2) I already had games for my DS, so I didn’t have to spend so much on games 3) the games for the DS are cheaper. Piece of advice, compare games prices to see where it’s cheapest and then you can save some money.
