The Switch Lite is exactly what it says it is: a smaller version of its big sibling, with the benefit of portability and the simplicity of being an all-in-one device. The drawbacks, of course, are that the Lite can't be docked, making it impossible to play on a full-sized TV screen, which basically negates the main value of the Switch as a versatile system that can make the whole family happy. The Lite is perfect for people who want a personal device to play games like Animal Crossing, or a great way to squeeze in some Minecraft on the go, but that's all it is. You have to decide for yourself whether that's worth $200. Personally, if I could have found a full-sized Switch, I would have preferred that, even though I already have one.

I really like this even though the screen was smaller and you couldn’t connect it to the TV. My main issue was that the battery was much smaller and I found myself connected to the wall most of the day. I am a heavy gamer so this would more likely fit a child’s needs. Thought that child would prefer larger model and screen. However, this fits better and a great starter model. Child quickly learned how to utilize games and features without assistance from parents.

I bought this refurbished switch lite two years ago. To this day, it has held up nicely and the battery charge is still excellent throughout the day! I definitely recommend buying a refurbished switch lite!

Our son requested a switch for his birthday. He’s super happy with it and it was a great buy! 10/10 recommend buying a micro sd card to store more games on it though. This is our 3rd switch (lots of kids lol) and we always buy more storage with the micro SD cards.
