You can play both online and not online making it great for when you dont have an internet conection, but even better when you do. The battery life is very good so far getting about 8-10 hours of play before it goes dead.

It is slightly smaller than the normal switch also after downloading for items and animal crossing 80% of the space is already used so purchase a SD card.
