All I've been doing is playing Animal Crossing mainly, and I'm looking forward to new games, registering online, and checking out the NES/SNES library. I can't compare controls to the standard Switch, but the analog sticks are great, the D-Pad is fluid (especially for Street Fighter), and the buttons are nice and clicky. I'm glad I purchased this as a gaming addition during the Pandemic.
