In my mind, it works better as a handheld than a regular switch. The overall feel and size seem more adequate and also, my right hand won’t hurt during a long gaming session (which was a thing that would happen to me when playing with the regular switch as a handheld).

Wonderful handheld

Owned for 1 year when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.If you don't find yourself playing on the big screen often or are having an adjustment period between another handheld device to console, the Switch Lite would be your best bet. I bought this system to have a backup Switch (also to use for Pokemon games since I have no friends to trade with) just in case something could happen to my normal Switch (which was suffering through many issues at the time). As someone who primarily played handheld, this is great being able to play console games on the go! Plus, you don't have to worry or size or even misplacing a joy con. Having this for a few years, I can say that there haven't been any issues with it thankfully. I think my only disappointment is the lack of adaptive brightness and rumble. If you play a game where you might need rumble to play through a certain part, you'll possibly have a bit of trouble (I know I did).
