Bought this using the Raise app to purchase discounted gift cards. Sadly one of the gift cards was not accepted. So I have to remove one star. This is a great gift for people of all ages. Just make sure you get a deal for it. Fair warning, the games in the eshop are sometimes at a bigger premium than even their mobile phone counterparts. A game I recommend is Hollow Knight, It's a fun explorer 2d platformer.

We bought this for our nephew and he loves it. It doesn't have all of the gory/horror games supported by the other companies.

The Nintendo Switch, this console has been one that has attracted many audiences based on the sheer features and integrations built into the console. Since purchasing this console for my family, I have found a monumental amount of enjoyment for everyone in the household. The Switch's game library is impressive currently, considering that normally Nintendo tends to release very few triple-A titles within the first year of a new console's launch this makes the purchase even more worth-wild. The Switch's battery life is impressive, considering that it maintains a visually appealing display, responsive game-play, and great network connectivity consistently when in the portable mode, this puts it quite ahead of other portable game consoles. The ability to migrate from a docked console to a portable game-pad without any loss of data, or immersion, is something that should be viewed as a new industry standard. The console's durability is better than expected, though I would still recommend purchasing a portable case for the console when not in use, as well as tempered glass to cover the touch screen; not only does the tempered screen cover the console in case of accidental drops, but it also creates an additional form of protection from consistent scratches when docking the console to the Nintendo dock. Overall, the Nintendo Switch has been one of the best console purchases I have made; being that there is a library of family friendly games as well as mature games for myself I could not have selected a better console for the family around the holiday season.
