My girls wanted a game console and their ages are so spread out(7,10,17) I chose this one. It seemed to have something for everyone. They can play some together and the youngest can detach and play solo. They had to get use to the controllers bit otherwise they are happy so I am a happy mama bear!

Portable factor, but Would not purchase again

It’s nice to have for trips, but games load slowly, have to have another subscription for certain features, games are expensive, screen (non OLED) contrast and brightness are not great. Wifi is slow. Only displays 1080p when plugged into TV- so on my 85 inch looks super pixelated. Sometimes have issues with Joy Cons connecting or not. The animal crossing color scheme is awesome. Unless you intend to have this as your only console and travel a lot, I would avoid. The OLED model has made some improvements, but not the best. Would not purchase again.
