So convenient to be able to take it with you if you are so inclined. Kids are obsessed. I was excited to see old games like “Punch Out” are playable. There are some games like Madden that you can’t play on it but there are also some Nintendo only titles like the Zelda games.

Very fun gift for a 7 year old. Plenty of classic games for the parents to enjoy, too. Easy to see why so many kids have them.

I bought the Switch bundled with Mario Kart 8 & three months of Online Membership Thanksgiving week. Since then, I've bought over 20 games on sale for the holidays, and it's been a month filled with fun. I wanted to buy physical games only, but I ended up downloading more games than I thought I would because their sale prices were much cheaper than their physical counterparts. And so, I quickly had to buy a microSD card to expand the storage capacity. (Mario Kart 8 used about a third of the system's memory all by itself.) Something to consider because the 32GB fills up fast! The controller is unique because the two Jon-Cons can be used separately or combined into one traditional controller, and the Joy-Cons can be used for motion controls, depending on the game. Of course, the console has dual functionality as a game system on your TV with 1080p graphics and as a handheld system with 720p graphics. I don't need 4K, so the HD graphics on the Switch are fine. A word of advice when attaching the strap pieces to the Joy-Cons: make sure to match minus to minus and plus to plus; if you mix them up like I did, you'll discover it's very difficult to separate them.

My daughter got excited when she received this. She loves playing it and bought a cute case for it too.
