Incredible handheld gamer. The OLED screen is fantastic. Sharp and bright like the best iPhone or Samsung. Clearly see a difference in OLED versions vs other Switch models. MarioKart and Pokémon games were smooth and intensely fun. Hooked up to the tv easily and we played 2 person MarioKart. Game was easy, just like when we had a wii years ago. If you played MarioKart in the wii then you’ll recognize some of the race tracks.

The OLED makes the screen look so much nicer. My sister has the older model and you can tell the difference between the two. The white makes the switch look aesthetically pleasing. I haven’t had any issues with it since I bought it. I know I’ll eventually need to buy an SD card to be able to save games that I’ll eventually buy.

Great console for someone whos looking for a portable console, who also wants capablities to run through a TV. The OLED screen looks amazing conpared to the older model. The Switch already has a good amount of renowned games, so and the Nintendo Shop always has their own run of indie games. Great purchase!

    Great upgraded Switch console

While the Switch OLED Model isn't the Pro model many of had hoped for it does offer a few nice benefits that are great for newcomers and possibly worth the upgrade for others. Basically, the big upgrade for $50 over the basic v2 red box Switch that has been out for a while is the new 7" OLED over the older 6.2" LCD screen. The colors pop, contrast, and refresh rate are improved. There is also no visible ghosting that was apparent on the older screen. So as many reviews have said for mobile users this is great and a huge worthwhile upgrade. Now for those like myself that primarily play in docked mode. I rarely see this mentioned even in professional reviews of the console, but the internal system memory has been upgraded from 32GB to 64GB. This is pretty big. While you can buy an external MicroSD memory card for expansion, you can only have save data on the internal storage. With games like NBA 2K series requiring 5GB per save and multiple profiles requiring multiple GB per save with games like Minecraft, more memory is very welcome. This is especially true in that on the 32GB model with the OS the user only had access to around 26GB of this memory. Aside from this the unit also features a new dock that has an integrated LAN port. This is a bitter sweet upgrade as apparently the LAN port shares some of the same wiring as a 4K HDMI port that was added in a custom configuration. So while it could have been interesting to have limited 4K support on the Switch, the LAN port is welcome, even if it also cost one of the two internal USB ports.

Got my switch during the hype of the switch 2. I’m new to the switch world but really enjoy this one for being my first one.

The Best Console I Drop in the Couch Cushions

The Nintendo Switch is basically a console that said: “Why not both?” Play it on the TV like a normal person… or yank it out and instantly transform into that weirdo playing Mario Kart in the dentist’s waiting room. Battery life? Eh, sometimes it feels like it drains faster than my willpower on leg day. But somehow, I still end up sitting on the toilet for 3 hours fishing in Animal Crossing. Worth it. The Joy-Cons? Oh yeah, they’re fun—until they start drifting like Vin Diesel in Fast & Furious. Nothing says “immersive gameplay” like your character moonwalking across the screen while you’re hands-off. Despite its quirks, the Switch has every kind of game you could ever want: Mario, Zelda, Pokémon, even a game about being a goose that bullies people. Truly, a masterpiece. 10/10—best $300 I’ve ever spent to lose all my friends in Mario Kart.

A definite improvement over the previous version. The LED screen is vibrant and sharp. Easy to set up and use, even for family members not as tech savvy. My only “complaint” is that it’s not particularly practical to access the card slot, but it is manageable!

I have had the switch for a while and now my kids play with it on the tv, so I got the oled version for my self, and oh man! this thing is a beauty, nice feel and look, the screen is great, the battery is great. This thing sits on my nightstand and my office desk easy to pick up whenever I want to have a little game time!

Nintendo Switch Oled was definitely a good purchase. I upgraded from the Nintendo Switch as I was not satisfied with the kick stand, display, and the unit that i had overheated quite often. The Iled got rid if the problems that i had. Greater display and a lot better kick stand with good adjustability. The extra storage was nice too.

So this is a pretty big improvement from the original Nintendo Switch. Bigger screen but same size chassis. Better and brighter screen, way better battery life and the dock now sports an Ethernet jack so you can hardwire to your network for better on-line performance. THe other improvement is that they doubled the onboard storage from 32GB to 64GB and still retained the micro-SD card slot.

Updated from using my standard switch for a few years and the OLWD screen is lovely. Big fan of the switch as a portable console with the ability to play on a monitor or tv. Also really appreciate the aesthetic of the white versus the blue and red. Not much to say, it’s a switch, and the switch is great imo.
