I bought this as an upgrade to the launch Nintendo Switch I've had for years. The OLED is a nice improvement, but most importantly the battery life has been extended. Beyond that; however, I haven't noticed many other changes. I don't know if I'd necessarily recommended buying this Switch as a replacement, but if it's your first Switch than I'd certainly opt for the OLED model.

Bought this for my son for Christmas, and it was definitely his favorite gift. The OLED screen is larger and clearer than the older Switch, and having the option to play handheld or on the tv with multiple players is a win for everyone. The controllers work great. Everything in the package was in new condition and worked properly. Very excited to download some classic Nintendo games!

Got the OLED for the larger screen, since I often will play using that. It works well and can dock into a TV. If you’re going to use the dock most of the time, you probably don’t need the OLED model. But the larger screen size and kickstand are great additions if that will be your primary screen.

I waited awhile before finally purchasing and I don’t regret at all ! I love how versatile it is , from playing on the tv or in your hands . The screen is so big and the graphics are stunning even the sound . I haven’t had not one problem , I just wish I purchased earlier .

I recently bought the OLED Switch and I have to say this has been a great purchase. I’ve never been much of a gamer but I have a hard time putting this down. Great battery life, very customizable, and the graphics are phenomenal. Definitely recommend.

I bought this as a gift and it was wonderfully received. While video games systems come quickly to younger folks thats not the case with us old people. The controls are easy to learn, the graphics are great and the system was pretty easy to set up. The family really enjoys playing the Switch.

I held off on purchasing a Nintendo Switch for a while. I was hoping to get a PS5 or Xbox Series X (is that what the new one is called?), but I'll be retired by the time one of those surfaces. So, I decided to grab a Switch OLED unit instead and I am very happy that I did. The games I have purchased so far are a lot of fun, the screen is good-sized and the games look fantastic. Plus, I love that playback isn't restricted to one's television set.

This product may be more expensive than the regular switch, but if you have the money, buy oled! Bigger screen, smoother gameplay, better graphics, pure awesomeness! I recommend this to anyone who wants to have fun!! Thanks Best Buy!

As someone who already owned a switch, my expectations are a little skewed. I chose to upgrade because my battery life in handheld mode wasn't living up to my usage with my old switch and for that purpose the OLED is leagues better already. The screen is amazing of course but that's in the name. Otherwise it's the same switch we know and love

Love the larger more vibrant screen and better stronger kickstand. Louder speakers and great battery life.

Purchase this as a gift for an adult and let me just say I rather the OLED from the first switch that came out. It is big and the games look amazing on this device. I love the Oreo looking color!!!! This is one of the top gifts on the Christmas list and if I was anyone I would go with this one versus the regular on due to the quality. Of course the box itself is much smaller which makes it great for those who keep the boxes at home after use.

Better quality with the OLED screen, and better performance compared to my original launch model switch

While maybe it wasn't the best choice to change my original Switch for the OLED Model, I must say I was still pretty amazed. I didn't expect the screen to look that much better, and the new kickstand is probably my favorite part. The LAN port in the dock is also a great addition although I don't use it often. The only problem is I wish they had brought at least some small improvements to overall performance, resolution and graphics capacity. In the end, I would recommend the Nintendo Switch OLED Model mainly to those who want a Switch and don't have one already, as it IS the best version of the console, but it might not be worth upgrading from another Switch for most people.

While there are no internal differences between the original switch and this OLED version, the OLED screen is stunning and the minor but welcome changes to the kick stand and speakers truly makes the OLED version of the Switch the definitive version of Nintendo’s beloved handheld. 9/10, would be a 10 if they boosted the internals but nevertheless it is an amazing machine and well worth the upgrade - especially if your a handheld enthusiast.
