You get the best of everything with this "console" if you can call it that. It doubles as a handheld, and then becomes a console when you want to play it on the big screen. No complicated and messy wiring to deal with... you just drop it into the dock and you're off to the races! The Nintendo Switch might look a bit gimmicky on the surface, but once you think about the form factor, and the ability to detach the controllers and use them separately as two controllers, or both as a single controller, it's just a different level of genius that you have to experience in order to understand. Let's say you play so much that one of the buttons starts acting wonky... do you have to pay a lot of $$ to get the thing fixed? Do you tear it apart just to fix it? Nah, the folks at Nintendo already thought about that and have replacement controllers that you can just slide on... it's no longer gimmicky is it? Additionally, those tiny controllers have so much tech in them! It's no wonder they seem a bit pricey at $70... The resolution of the screen sucks you say? No way! The pixel density on the screen is perfect for the size and the colors are vivid. And for all the soccer fans out there, FIFA is a thing of beauty on this device! But sure, other games look and play fantastic on it as well. The Nintendo Switch is king of versatility! On the couch, on the go, on the porcelain throne... you'll be entertained wherever you might find boredom. The Switch is worth every penny you might drop on it... including the many accessories you can get for it. Are there any cons? Yes, but they're so minor you won't even really care! Do yourself a favor and get your hands on one... give it a go and see if you don't instantly fall in love with it. Oh, and if you really don't dig the controllers or the pricing, guess what? You can get a third party device that allows you to use ANY of your controllers from your other consoles... Now which of the other consoles can do that!!?? It's super cool to be able to use my favorite XBOX One controller on the Switch! Ahhhhh... the satisfaction is indescribably! Enough reviewing... I'm gonig to go play!

I purchased the Switch as a gift fo my son. He has been wanting it since the release. He gets straight As and it seemed like it would make a good Christmas present. I have played Overcooked on a friend's and it was super fun.

The kids keep coming back to Nintendo’s classic games and are enjoying this from last Christmas. Just introduced them to Zelda. 5 stars, It’s made it a year in our large family.

Great gaming system for kids just getting into gaming and more fun for those who grew up with the classic consoles.

The entire system is very portable, including the docking station. Only downside is limited amount of games for it.

The Switch was a bold choice from a company that has always played by their own rules. Nintendo took cues from their entire legacy to bring this hybrid console/portable to fruition. Time will tell if it will be truly successful. I never got around to buying a Wii or Wii U, but I loved the Gamecube and 3DS. Nintendo may not be bringing the latest tech or most powerful hardware to the table, but their 1st party properties don't need to compete to move consoles. I can't wait for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and the eventual release of Smash Bros

After months and months of searching for one of these I finally got my hands on it. It’s a great console to enjoy lots of fun games. The blue and red joy cons make it stand out.

Awesome system! Purchased for my daughter and I play it more than she does >< I grew up on Nintendo and this is amazing! My fave games are Mario Kart and the graphics are INSANE!

This game system is very portable and of high quality that you come to expect by Nintendo.

Like that you can play on the go. Controller are a little small for home play when they are removed. But overall I enjoy this console.

I’ve been a Nintendo person my entire life, but I can confidently say that I wasn’t too into the wii or the Wii U. But the switch is such a great change for Nintendo. I always get so excited when I remember that I can pick up the console out of the stand and take it with me when I have to go somewhere. Taking it on long trips is amazing! The games not depending on internet use is also refreshing. I can travel and not be worried if I’ll have access to WiFi to play my games. Worth every penny!

I have played it everyday since I got it. I have been waiting for it since May. Wish I was able to get the Animal Crossing version so I would be able to tell mine apart from my sons.
