But in practice, it works really, really well. Battery life on the console as a hand-held is a bit on the short side with some games, but the console itself feels nice and is really nicely built. Games are great, too, and it's easy to use.

Finally found one

Just happened to be in Best Buy looking for something else and they had one on the shelf. We have been using it for about a month now and really enjoy it. The kids and I love playing the switch game together and we really enjoy Mario kart of course. I wish there were more games available with it right now. Looks like there are going to be some good games to come but it's off putting that it has taken so long to get one and they still aren't really available, and then not really a ton of game options. This for me is still a better option for young kid friendly games

Great Product from Nintendo

Very enjoyable and much better than the original

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The v2 model of the Nintendo Switch console has definitely improved over its original version. Nintendo has seemed to fix many of the issues that have been problematic. One thing to note is that the dock does end up scratching the screen, so a screen protector is a must.
