This is the 3rd one I bought because my son is on it 5 hours a day, 7 days a year. They seem to last a year. Controllers (joycons) last about 6 months before they develop drift. You can solve drift by replacing the joysticks.

The Switch is convenient, beyond functional and awesome. So far the games I've purchased (Zelda & Mario Kart) are the best I've played for Nintendo in years

nintendo can't get it right

Nintendo still can't get stocking issues correct. With every major release of their consoles, there always seem to be a shortage of stock. It's a fun console, and if you're getting this for Zelda, it's a great game. the joy-cons are a bit small, so if you have large hands, I'd suggest getting the Pro Controller or getting the charging grip for the Joy-Cons.
