Disaster
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this phone for my son for Xmas. Best Buy said they didn't have the time to activate it for me, so we tried at home, Xmas day. We tried online and then twice over the phone. When we went online, it said that this was a "refurbished" phone. This fact was not disclosed when I purchased it online. I was given several excuses as to why they could not activate the phone, and was switched back and forth to different customer service people. I finally returned the phone at Best Buy. The phone itself was nice, but getting it to work was a nightmare.

Fantastic Phone at low cost!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this phone about 6 months ago and have had no problems. This weekend I used this phone to navigate to places around the cape. With help of Cortana I could easily find destinations and information about places. Regardless of where I were on the cape the phone did not lose signal and the Maps navigator windows phone app integrated with Cortana for a fantastic experience. Finding beaches and places to dine was so easy. While traveling in our car I turned down screen brightness so that my phone could perform for the whole day! It would be good though if I could have easy access to screen brightness as you cannot see a thing in bright light if you forget to change brightness back to high before stepping out into the light. I couldn't even answer incoming calls and could not navigate through the menu to find the buried brightness settings. This is a small problem, and not something I should be complaining about at this price. Windows phone apps are a little limited as most companies do not create windows phone apps. I cannot connect my phone to my Sony A6000 that would work fine on any other phone. I cannot load popular audio recorders to capture professional audio like I could with an android. Once again I shouldn't be complaining at this price. I can still load other audio recorder apps and still use this phone as a field recorder. I love the windows start screen, way better than android and feel this phone works much like an I-phone. I would compare the performance to an I-phone 4 S, just without those great apps you can find for the I-phone. At this price point though there shouldn't be any comparison so I consider this phone the best budget phone on the market. I cannot believe, and am still in shock at how well such an inexpensive phone could help complete my vacation.

Love this phone, love windows
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not sure why it took me so long to go to a Windows phone but so glad I did. If you are a gamehound then Windows might not be there for you but if you want a great phone that is intuitive and supports the core of social media you will love this phone. Good gmail, facebook,Twitter interfaces. The driving app is superior to all others and alter r s me when speeding (if I have it turned on). The layout is so nice and accessing things like quiet time are right there instead of drilling down like on Apple. The battery life has been wonderful. The resolution is comparable to the I p hone 6 and I still can't believe the price on this awesome phone. It also has built-in FM radio which is handy instead of using data for music at the gym. Pulling in my contacts was a breeze too. I have both gmail and exchange mail accounts and it is super fast. I only gave it a 4 because of the lack of flash and rear facing camera but if that is where I saved the $400 then I am okay with it. This phone is a great value.

Great phone in budget
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The phone is fast, and little slow while using for basic multiple tasks such as GPS, listening to music and surfing the internet. The battery will last 2 days with moderate using. However, it does not recognize the SIM after 6 month using. Let's see how long the next one will last.

Nice upgrade from Lumia 521
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picked this up as an upgrade to the Lumia 521 -- overall very nice. Screen is supposed to be bigger, but a portion is used for the light up overlay controls (which were printed on the 521) resulting in a screen size about the same. Speed is overall faster (both hardware and since it supports LTE now). Overall a nice phone, just not many apps available

good entry level smart phone.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just upgraded from my Lumia 525. Phone is much faster as large as an iPhone 5s. Can use all apps like Hulu, Netflix, twitter, and browses the web well. Phone sound quality is good also. Great price for a phone that has everything except a flash camera. No front facing camera. I have no need for either of these but if they are a need go with the Nokia 925 then. Again phone is very inexpensive and a great upgrade from the Nokia Lumia 521. Best Buy please start carrying this phone in store as well as online.

best choice for your money.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just recently got this phone, and I'm already impressed. Compared to apple, it is way more user friendly and thinks proactively. Though the camera leaves some to be desired, it still works just fine with taking normal pictures.

Great phone
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have always used Android smartphones but decided to try a Windows phone. This phone has a nice display and I like the Win 8.1 smart tiles better on the phone than on my laptop. Unfortunately the app store is lacking, although it does have the major apps I use. The battery lasts me for almost three days before needing to be recharged.

Nice phone for basic use and for a beginner
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really love this phone. Its a smart Window phone, a bit different than Android or Iphone. But very decent white phone at a very good price. I was waiting for that price and got it... The good part is its battery which is way better than android phones.

Nokia Lumia + Windows = AWESOME!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my favorite phone and I will always be a windows phone user. I already have a Nokia Lumia 521 and am a huge fan of it. I didn't really think I needed to upgrade to the Lumia 635 because of a larger screen. When the Lumia 635 went on sale, it was too tempting and I got it. Wow! First thing that I noticed is that the picture screen with the strong gorilla glass is gorgeous and nicely bright & crisp. You will be happy with the video quality of netflix and hulu plus. This is a huge improvement over the 521 screen which I was happy with but when I put it side by side comparison with the 635, it is a big difference in quality. While the screen says 4.5", I would say it is probably 4.25" that is being used due to the "back, home and search buttons" being used on the bottom task bar. The 521 screen had 4" screen as those buttons were exterior buttons. Not a big deal at all to me. The speed and responsiveness of a windows phone is amazing. 1.2ghz quad-core processor! The specs are much better on the 635. I ran antutu benchmark and it was 5000 points higher over the 521. Reception? Simply works great. User interface? Before I bought any windows phone, I thought the screen looked somewhat cluttered. Not true at all. Once you start using the phone, the user interface really grew on me with the live tiles and the ability to customize the home screen. I prefer the windows home screen over the android or iphone home screen. Apps? OK. It may not have as many as google store or apple but it has the major apps that I want like netflix, hulu plus, espn, spotify and a ton of others. I downloaded like 30 apps on top of all the apps that came with the phone. Check windowsphone.com and see that there are plenty of apps available. Games? I don't play games on my phone so I won't comment. Camera? A nice 5 megapixel that takes good pictures. For the price point, you can't really expect to get a great camera with flash. I don't take many pictures so I don't need a great camera on a phone. If camera is very important for someone, one may want to look at the higher model nokia lumia phones with the better camera. Lot of pros with this phone. Cons: I did side by side comparison with the 635 and 521 speakers. I don't know why but the 521 speakers actually sound a bit better than the 635 speakers. It plays a little bit louder and sounds a little bit clearer. Both speakers sound very good though so it really isn't a problem. I don't know any difference with the headphones. Another small gripe is the white back case. Bought a $5 rubber black case and that fixed the "problem". I would highly recommend the Nokia Lumia 635 especially when you compare the pros, cons and the VALUE! I am a huge fan of Nokia, windows and t-mobile and I don't think I would ever change phone brand, operating system and the carrier.

Great Value
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was curious to give Microsoft phone a chance because they are pretty much giving this phone away in order to get people hooked. There are advantages to using the Windows phone that will become more apparent once Windows 10 comes out and unifies all their apps. This handset is a great value, LTE, nice camera, smooth navigating. It takes a hit better than my Nexus 4 did. My son just dropped it last night again and its ok. It is slow running apps though because its an underpowered low-end phone. I wouldn't feel bad if something happened to it as its only $50

Phone is great...SIM was cold
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Phone is a great phone at a great price. My SIM on the other hand was cold, meaning Best Buy neglected to scan the box as it left their warehouse. I got the phone online on sale and with no store around I can't return it for a replacement so I'm stuck looking for a new SIM. Get it if the price is right, don't be surprised if you need to buy a new SIM.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Gifted it to my wife. Here is her comment," I am feeling like just entered into a new , interesting world. " It is very cheap, but great quality. PPL do not like windows just because samsung & apple got popularity. But windows is the easiest OS for cellphones .
