I can't wait to return this phone

I just bought this phone 3 days ago and I am taking it back today. Its a nice looking phone, good price for a touch screen but it has to many downsides for me. I told my self maybe I can get use to it but I don't think so. The main issue for me is when it came to texting. The send button is to close to the space bar. This especially became a problem when replying to a text because the phone already knew where to send the text to if the send button was touched instead of space bar than there goes the message half complete (as opposed to going to the screen where you choose a contact to send the message to.) Either way that is my biggest problem. It is also does not work well with memory cards, which apparently is a common problem according to t-mobile tech support. Also for some reason when I try and take a pic it says there isn't enough space to store it, I only took one pic since i got the phone and the rest get erased. So basically if your looking for a phone that has ease of use this phone is not it. Especially for people that text a lot.

This was my second time trying to upgrade from a 4 year old Nokia flip phone (the first time was a bust). I doublechecked some of the specs while in the store and excitedly took it home. I liked it for a few hours before the problems started. I couldn't calibrate the screen for the life of me, no matter how many times I tried; each was a different result, but none were a decent calibration. I have rather small fingers, and I kept accidentally calling people when it would register my touch a little too far off. This phone is marketed as app ready - I couldn't even FIND the apps to download. I tried searching for them under Tap, and then I tried using the Chinese manufacturer's name for the model. I tried other people's advice of more generic apps. No dice, and it was a huge disappointment; the only app I wanted was one that would let me chat via AIM, something my beat-up Nokia lets me do without a problem. For being Bluetooth compatible, transferring my self-made ringtone to it from my computer was a multi-hour process. That's all I will say on that matter. And then came the real kicker: the touch screen stopped responding at random intervals. It was as if the phone would completely freeze-up touchwise for a good 10 seconds, and then start working again for 10 minutes before refreezing. Within 24 hours I gave up, put my SIM card back in my Nokia, and put the Tap back in its package. The return process took a little longer than I would have liked, but I was just happy to be rid of the Tap. My advice? Keep looking, because the Tap isn't worth the hassle.

I read the reviews on Best Buy about this phone before I purchased it. The reviews on here turned me off to buying this phone. But, I really liked the idea of a prepaid touch phone for Tmobile, so I continued to look at other sites for their reviews. I read reviews and watched videos and those sites gave great reviews. I have had the phone for 4 days and I absolutely love it! Its a great phone, and not just because its the only touch screen I could have bought on a prepaid account. This is a great phone all by itself. The screen quality is amazing, the internet is fast, the phone has a full keyboard (when you turn it on its side) and it has everything you could want in a very reasonably priced touch phone. My fiance has an iPhone and he couldn't get over how great this phone is.

When I got the phone, it worked great first. However, if you hold onto the power button too long to turn it off, it may just turn back on afterward. And then there's the problem with the weather application. The weather application won't update itself anymore unless I drag it back into the apps bar and then drag it back out again. The keyboard is a little slow, but I'm in no rush, so it doesn't really matter. On the bright side, the phone does have its perks like a decent camera, an on-screen keyboard, and external memory.

My last phone broke so I decided to go to bestbuy and buy a pre-paid phone. I went on bestbuy.com to look at pre-paid phones and it was between two phones this one and a samsung. I read the reviews for both and said I'll get the samsung, all my previous phones were samsung so that's why I decided on that phone. Plus the phone had a cheaper price. So I went into my local bestbuy and went towards the phones and my brother said why don't you get the Tap?? I said it had bad reviews, which I never really like to decide on them. He said get it, use it, if you don't like it return it and get the samsung. So that's what I did. So I'm writing this review 4 months after I bought it, not like most of the other reviews were 4 days?? And truth be told I love it. Yeah it's no iPhone or top of the line touchscreen phone. It's perfect for me I'm glad I bought it. Most people complained about the touchscreen but I have no problems with it. If you're looking for a phone at a reasonable price try this one.

This phone is horrible - It constantly locks in the middle of use. The 3 gig storage - I would like to see it - Put in a 2 gig micro disc and it won't download. You have to constantly fight with this phone. It is so touchy that you call people in error because you tapped too close to their number. The instruction manual is no help - the frustration in trying to use this phone is very high. I am taking it back. Good part the music playback is very good but limited.
