I bought this phone for my mother and she loves it. This is her first smart phone ever.

This is the first 4G phone I've owned. The phone works great. The big screen is easy to see.

This Galaxy grand prime is fast and looks nice. Has big screen...A++++. I recommend this to anyone.

overall nice phone except ringtone is too low that hard to hear with highest volume

I had a IPhone 4 did not like it like this one better.

Bought two for my parents as a gift and they both like them, had excellent reception both locally and much to their surprise internationally while they traveled even in countries where their Iphone 4s did not have reception. Definitely not for power users or gamers but a great entry level phone or a phone for basic calls, texts, and Skype. Excellent standby battery life, very good battery life with light to moderate use.

- charging indicator light is likely not available with this model - 3 weeks after purchase I began to receive false message: "SIM card removed" error. Under 14-day return policy it was too late to return and replace this unit. After reading a number of comments from others, once I see this error again, I will not hesitate to visit Samsung service center and request repair under warranty program

This phone is relatively cheap compared to the S models, and accomplishes just as much. With a memory card I can't tell the difference.

Phone performs well to be a cheaper samsung. The screen is only a 780p and you can definetly see the difference.

I bought this phone for my wife who uses it primarily for Real Estate business purposes. It replaces a Samsung Avant with a cracked screen. The phone works great with an existing regular T-Mobile Simple Choice plan. Just pop in the SIM card from the old phone. In this case T-Mobile store moved existing SIM card to new size SIM at no charge. The larger 5" screen is very clear and readable. Battery life has been very good to excellent. Connectivity and Internet is fast on T-Mobile. Works well as hotspot. Phone quality is clear both incoming and outgoing. Does not drop calls. Works well with Bluetooth headset. One star is removed because the screen can be too sensitive when you don't want it be and not sensitive enough when you do. This is her complaint with every smartphone she has ever used. Don't you wish phones would come with a setting for screen sensitivity? An excellent value for low cost smartphone especially if you like Samsung phones.
