Customers are saying

Customers are satisfied with the ease of use, WiFi connectivity, recording flexibility, and picture quality of the DUAL LITE OTA DVR with WiFi. Many appreciate the simple setup and the commercial skip feature, but some users experienced issues with buffering, occasional heat generation, and reception problems. The need for an external hard drive for storage is also a recurring theme. While the interface and program guide are generally well-received, performance inconsistencies were reported by a few users.

Easy to set up, great features, works with roku well and allows me to get local channels on all tvs in the house without the need to hook an antenna to each of them. The tablo tuner also has better reception than my LG tv.

This product works better than I expected. We have cut cable TV out altogether and this allows us to record any programs that we received over the air with our inside antenna. I would definitely buy this again.

Pros: Just need an antenna and an ethernet connection. Roku has Tablo natively as does my 2016 Samsung TV. SiliconDust doesn't work on either with additional hardware or server. Tech support responsive and free. Cons: Expensive lifetime Guide service ($150). Mine recorded 2 shows then stopped recording once I connect a USB HD. Had to call tech support, but they fixed it quick.

We live in a rural setting with no Internet. This unit provides us the ability to record and watch our shows on our schedule. Great product for those who do not have or want cable TV. Would buy again.

Its a bit clunky at first until you get to understand how the channels work. It took a few days to load the channel guide but works good now. I figure I must like it better than my TIVO service as I cancelled it and bought the lifetime subscription for $149 dollars. Tivo cost that much every year

Awesome device. Can watch OTA in any room w/o multiple antennas. Pretty important to have really good outdoor antenna tho’ I used the fiormer Directv mast for mine. DVR capability’s great too

This works very well to broadcast my antenna to all of my rokus. Make sure your wifi signal is strong. Wired would probably be better, but wifi works.

The Tablo makes it easy and smooth to watch and record shows, movies, etc via our antenna and network. It's easy to operate which makes it perfect for our family, and the reception is great. Tablo is a very well thought out design.

I love 1080 video for free! I hate commercials. This is device to smooth over my issues. The quality of image playback is superior. The ability to fast forward works well. One different (but helpful) feature is the encouragement (during setup) to delete stations you don't need. So I paired down the 70+ (in Atlanta) to about 10. What the heck, I didn't need to watch 480 broadcast of 50 year old movies. And there's a lot more I didn't need anyway. One complaint is the slowness of launch for Playback. No idea why this happens. It is a bit annoying, but the quality is worth the wait. I have used 3 other DVR methods in the last 5 years. And this overall is the best. PLUS remote retrieval (in theory - I haven't used it yet.

We returned the item, not due to any technical issues but because we changed streaming services and no longer needed the device. Had we stayed with Philo or Sling, the Tablo would have been useful to stream our local channels. Fubo included the local stations.

Setup is easy and it has a nice channel menu. Using a WD 1gb hard drive for recording. I cut my paid streaming service (Hulu live) and between OTA and Pluto tv, there’s plenty to watch on the Roku.
