One of the best JRPG's of the last few years! Right up there with Final Fantasy 7 Remake in quality. Story line, progression hook, all keep you invested which is all that counts in these type of games. Linear game, so no open worlds here. Overall very traditional in its formula and execution, its just done in a way that feels fresh and refined. I tend to be of mixed emotions with the modern JRPG combat systems, which is what this utilizes. I would compare it to FF7 Remake or FF15. Its a a system where you're controlling your avatar fully (similar to an action RPG), but you're multi-tasking commands to your NPC teammates... all of which you can also switch to for manual control. So it sometimes hits the multi-tasking limit I'm willing to deal with in a game, and can make reoccurring battles feel a bit tiring. But overall it's a very engaging system, and can be quite rewarding when you're doing everything right. I just personally prefer the old school turn based system, but to each his own.

One of the best JRPGs I've played in a long time! Story and gameplay are very addictive and catchy! I can't wait for more games with the same quality from Bandai Namco. At the beginning I was confused on the gameplay and how each battle would develop but the game give you time to enhance your skills!

Only a few hours in and I'm enjoying it. On Ps5, it runs a very beautiful 1080p 60fps with great particle effects and strong art style. I could not see myself enjoying the combat and Cutscene if it was 1080p at 30fps. Characters feel a little flat to start but granted it's the opening hours so I'm sure they get fleshed out later. Combat feels solid and I'm getting used to it more and more, but some more fundamental things like air dashing to dodge shouldn't be locked behind the skill tree. Beyond that, I think if you like action rpgs and anime style games you can't go wrong.

Great game. Caught it on sale at Best Buy and I was not disappointed. The fighting style is exciting. The story was pretty fluent and easy to understand, but the art style is what really reeled me in. I recommend specially if you can catch it on sale at best buy.

Awesome game, but the targeting system could be more precise. Great opening animation, fantastic characters, and an immersive world and art style really bring it together.

Once this game hits its stride it’s very hard to put down. The story is a little cliché but it’s still very much engaging but it’s the gameplay that’s extremely fun. Definitely one of the better RPGs that I’ve played in a good while. This is a must buy

Great. The story got me hooked more than I expected, and playing on the harder mode actually provides a decent challenge. Really pleased, and always look forward to the next play session
