This lens is 100% awesome! No more need to drag a bunch of lenses when traveling or just taking a walk and exploring the unknown. This lens is perfect for portrait, sports, landscape, wildlife, agriculture, real estate, weddings and more! I recommend it highly and I've been a photographer for over 50 years!

The lens was fairly good at most zoom ranges but a bit soft at the top of the range (400mm). Colors seemed a bit off too.

If you can only afford one lens, this should be a no-brainer. This lens covers every range that you would ever need, without having to change lenses. GREAT travel lens. Lost your kit lenses and use this instead. Tamron makes a great quality lens.

It really zooms in and works great. It is a little tight at first but I would rather have that then too loose.

Great lens if you don’t want to carry and switch several lenses. The movement is not as smooths a canon lens but it takes great photos near and far

I purchased this camera lens for a National Park tour this past summer and it did not disappoint. The fact that it brings an object so close to you is simply amazing.

Bought this lens to shoot soccer games it made my life so much easier and I was able to still take photos when the play was close which was hard with my kit lens because it didnt zoom out enough. I also had good luck zooming in across the field and getting plays. I did Also use this for protriats and some nature photography and it was awesome. Glad I made the purchase even though next day shipping turned in to it being 3 days late. I am not sure if that was due to bestbuy not getting it out on time or an error on UPS's part but that doesn't go against the lens just be aware that if you order this lens with next day shipping it might not happen

Lens has a stiff spot when going full zoom. Love the difference between the zoom length. Great for my hockey photos.

If it wasn't for the low light performance I might never take it off my camera. Autofocus struggles on moving objects when zoomed all the way in because of the short focal length but if you can take the time to get the shot right it is really worth it. Especially good for macro images!

Have been working with the Tamron 18 to 400mm lens for a few weeks now and found it to be very compatible with the Canon 6ti camera body. Very practical for general usage, its wide range allows for landscape and telephoto applications. The lens AF system is very fast and accurate. The overall experience has been excellent, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a zoom lens at a reasonable price.
