    I am videographer and filmmakers and this lens was something I was hesitant to buy at first because it wasn't Sony but after testing it out and having to rely on it in high pressure situations I am a fan of Tamron now! It is durable, smooth and something I would definitely recommend to the next person without question.

    For the price is great for portraits, definitely not wildlife.. DO not purchase this for wildlife or birds, you'll be disappointed.

    This zoom is light, compact and a good value compared to the Sony 70-200 f/2.8. No image stabilization but not a deal breaker for me due to Sony’s in body image stabilization. I’ll take the savings.

    Very well constructed with excellent optics. Almost as good as other far higher-priced lenses. Use it mainly for indoor portraits and happy with the performance.

    The quality was good but, it just did not have the zoom I expected. Many reviews raved about how great it was for sports. Many sports are not close up for the spectators and this the lens did not get close enough to recognize the players.
