This Chill Mat is Good but not Great

Also it is not easy to adjust the angel specially when laptop is on it. The good thing about this product is that it provides good air flow to keep my 16 inch laptop cool and also it comes with USB ports.

From the first month I had fan noises issues with it. When I got around to handle it it was out of the return date window for BB. I went through Targus and they want to me to send it in at my cost. If you have money to throw away go ahead. I have previous Targus chill mats that are 10+ years old and still work just fine. Poor quality. Also, only has 2.0 USB ports for slow transfer speeds.

Great for the price and saves my wrists.

I chose this one primarily because my laptop only has two USB ports and I frequently need both even without the pad (my current one can be plugged into a wall outlet). However, with the placement of the ports in the back, I had to turn the entire thing to plug into a USB drive or something - far easier to get a USB hub and a cheaper cooling pad. Additionally, it didn't work even as well as my current pad, which is seriously ailing. Within moments of starting up my online MMO, I was feeling a *lot* of heat through the keyboard on my fingertips. I was also concerned with the mechanism to adjust the height/angle; it seemed far flimsier than the version without the USB hub. To the point where had it not been in a box, I probably wouldn't have purchased it to begin with. Bottom line: awkward to use the USB ports; didn't work that well; and seemed like it would break. I returned it the next day...

Could have a higher CFM rate for higher power CPU laptops like my 4 core. Runs OK at idle but when laptop is under use core temps rapidly rise into upper limits for laptop operation.
