I read the reviews but when I saw some people mention that it could be noisy I thought maybe not that bad or maybe they just got a bad one. I must have gotten a bad one. It is ridiculous. If I whack it just right it goes back to mildly annoyingly loud but walk across the floor a little too heavily or set something down next to it too hard and it goes back to the grinding, buzzing sound.

Over-priced, dated, cheaply made

It is maybe worth $15-$20 max. I have purchased far superior, metal adjustablecoolers with lcd screens and usb 3.0+ ports for less money than this. The plastic mechanism that holds the pad up feels cheep, like it might slip at any time.

I'm not sure how well these things are supposed to work, but it definitely could be cooler. It has a port to plug in a power source, but you have to buy it separately. BOGUS. It's better than nothing, but I wouldn't pay $50 again or another one.

The fan on this new one does not seem to be working, blowing, at all. I must follow up with Targus.
