Runs loud and does not keep laptop cool. I would not have purchased item if I had known how poorly it performs!

Fans are unstable and are noisy. The fans began to malfunction with a few days of purchase.

Makes a horrible noise. I am sorry I wasted my money on this product.

It was disappointing in that the computer still seems to be hot.

Do not use it because the computer slides off pad.

Pretty good at what it does; there is a notable difference when doing tasks that strain my laptop's fans and I enjoy the built-in USB hub. Only now starting to give out after 6 years of frequent use and a bit of travel. The only downside is there is no way to do small repairs on it; the left fan has started making a grinding sound every now and then (I think it's come loose) and there's no way to get the top part off to check/tighten it.

I recently got a laptop, and it's common knowledge that when gaming or doing something that requires a lot of processing, overheating is an issue. I got this pad and am very happy with it. For one it tilts up. I prefer a tilted keyboard. It has multiple angles to choose from. Anywhere from 0-30 degress (roughly#. The fan connects to the laptop via USB port, and feeds of the laptops power source. While this is handy when being mobile #road trip, airplane, whatever) this only reduces the laptops battery life. My laptop lasts about 3 hours and 45 minutes, with this plugged in it's more like 2 hours 30 minutes, or less. You can plug the fan directly ito a wall, but it requires you to get seperate plugs, The modern typical cell phone charger, the one that looks like a half sized HDMI can be used to charge it. It also has a round power outlet. A few options, just find the right one. As far as keeping it cooled, i think it's plenty enough. I've never felt my laptop above room temperature, even when playing simcity a good 4 hours at a time. Also the fan does make noise yes, but it's minimul. When i go to sleep in the other room i like to make sure it's off. However when using it with the tv going, i don't even hear it. Could it be quieter? I doubt it. I have a large 17.3" laptop, but it's still light weight. This adds to that weight. so typically i only use this at home when doing desktop type things. When on the road or whatever, this stays behinds, or in the hotel. I wish it could have some sort of elastic velcro strap to stay attached to the laptop. When on a table it's no issue, but when on your lap or some other unlevel, unsolid platform, it can shift from the laptop. Not a huge issue, but annoying. Aside from that, nothing really needs improving. I recommend this for any laptop larger then 14 inhes.

Great cooler. I have an MSI GT780DXR (large 17" gaming laptop) and this pad works very well underneath it. The USB hub is a nice touch although outside of testing, I don't know if I'll ever need it. The fans are a bonus. I previously had an ASUS gaming laptop and its cooling was superior to any laptop I'd ever seen, including the one I own now. With that in mind, this cooler is a great bonus to any laptop that has subpar cooling. This is comfortable enough that I can sit with the PC on my lap and work/game comfortably.

As we know, heat is the enemy of electronics ! Keep it cool and make it last ! The additional ports are a necessity with today's laptops !

This is a good cooling pad, I use it for my MacBook. The ability to adjust the angle is a great feature along with the 4 port usb hub. I wish the usb hub were located on the side of the unit instead of the back, but that's a minor detail on a good product.

I love how this cooler has an added usb hub seeing as how my computer has only 1 usb 2.0 port, its quiet and how it can put your laptop at an angle i love that. It is a bit pricey though, $50 is little too much.

The extra USB ports on this chill mat are nice but it can raise a laptop a little to high if you are using the laptop key board and not and external. This is louder than the the regular laptop fans.

This product works amazingly well. It keeps my computer cool, even during intense gaming sessions. Easy to use, not loud and very portable

We were looking at docking stations for our laptop and realized that this product gives us enough ports on the side that we could use it instead of spending more than twice as much on a bonified docking station. We use it along with a separate, very large, monitor and now have two screens. Plus it does keep the laptop cool.

I liked this overall, I discovered that it made my laptop more comfortable at my desk with the height adjustment, loved the additional USB Ports and it did a great job Cooling my laptop. However, The Noisy Fan was Aggravating, I couldn't concentrate on my computer work and my husband warned me that the noisy fan will cause stress to my laptop. I'm disappointed with the noise. If you can bear the noise... It's Great!

Bought this to help with my laptops graphics card overheating & "wigging out" giving me an error code. It use to happen once or twice a day, I wouldn't lose any data, it would freeze, reset & then go back to normal. Since I've had this Chill Mat it rarely happens. I also love having the extra USB ports.

Unlike other laptop coolers, this unit actually keeps the work area cool. You noticed the difference immediately as the hot air under the laptop is dispersed quickly and away from the unit. And the USB port makes this cooler practical and resourceful without adding to the heat index.

The chill mat does its job and the adjustable pad angle is a nice touch. There's also a lip to prevent it from slipping towards you. For the size of the mat, the dual fans could be little larger to help disburse the heat. The extra USB's in the rear is nice but there is one issue but cannot be certain if it could be addressed that is that when my laptop is asleep, if it's still connected, the fans will continue to run.

Chill Mat may not be made of metal, but it is easy to use and so very quite. You gotta appreciate the quite... It keeps the computer chill'n and allows me to adjust the angle of the computer for comfortable use.
