The fans run good and keep the laptop cool, however some rubber grips or stoppers to keep the laptop from slipping or falling off of it. DIdnt like the placement of the usb cord on the chillmat, also should read the box at the store before I purchased it because I honestly wouldn't have bought it if I'd known it runs off the computers battery/power source. I mean, at least it does do what it was meant to do (keep the laptop cool and serve as a lapdesk.surface),,,,but not at all worth $50...its basically cheap plastic encasing a couple fans which happen to be plug n play. Meh...

I haven't plugged it in to use the fans yet. I mainly use it to rest my laptop on while i perform school work. Perfect for keeping the laptop off the desk to breathe.

The USB tie in eliminates the need for an AC power cord, the fans do indeed cool the machine - my drive went form 33 C to 28 C in about 15 minutes. The only downside is the fans are noisy, sort of like a sewing machine in the next room. Not a deal breaker for me but others might be annoyed. Overall: great product for the price.

It keeps my computer from over heating after long uses and the able is adjustable to fit you.

I purchased this laptop cooling system because it is so much easier for me to type since having a stroke and the bonus is the extra usb hubs and the different angles of elevation

My new computer gets hotter than my old one, so I bought the cooling fan for it. The computer still gets hot, but not nearly as hot. And this particular model comes with USB ports, which have come in very handy. It does raise the computer a bit, which is a little hard on the wrists. But overall, I am pretty satisfied.

I bought it for my Grandson to use with his gaming laptop. He says it has been a life changer! Lol.. his laptop doesnt get hot anymore. I guess it gets extremely hot without the cooling stand.

Not only is my laptop protected from possible overheating, the Cool Pad has 4 additional UBS ports that are very convenient.

It does what it needs to but check the box, I didn't notice until today that it did not come with the power cable, so the fans have never ran.

Easy to use laptop stand with 2 cooling fans below. Also has extra usb ports at the back. The usb cord to plug it in could have been longer however. Great value nonetheless.

My computer was overheating pretty regularly so I purchased this cooling station. It works great and since it plugs into my laptop for power, I can use it when I take my laptop to different rooms in the house without having to plug it into an outlet. Its fan is pretty quiet which is nice. This product has definitely reduced the amount of times my computer goes into a thermal shutdown and worth the price.

I work from home on a computer for 8-10 hours a day. I don’t use the fan all the time because it is so noisy. I like the way the mat tilts and elevated my laptop. When the fan is needed, it works well to cool (it is just very loud).

I like how it elevates and tilts and has USB ports built into the unit.

I love my Targus Chill Mat. At first I wondered if I needed to spend this much on a laptop mat but I love the way it holds my laptop in place when I want to change the angle of the laptop. I like having the USB port when I'm using my External Hard Drive or camera. Its great. Keeps my laptop cooled and it works fine. Its good to remember to unplug the cooler fans from the laptop when not using it.

i got it because it has four usb ports and raises to an angle, not because of the fans.

Needed this for my HP. Like the extra USB ports. Only complaint is it's a little noisy, maybe I just got a bad one.

This device both elevates and cools my computer. I do find that the fans tend to be noisy. This is particularly noticeable when I turn the computer on. After being on for a few minutes the noise subsides. I need the four extra USB ports so that was one of the reason I purchased this model.
