I use a lap board and have the cooling device velcroed to the lap board. The design of the device is such that getting the velcro to stick to it is not stable and firm to hold my laptop and keep the whole system from falling to the floor when I move in my chair.

Upon taking it out of the box I thought about how cheap this thing feels. I did try it with my laptop and saw no drip in temperatures with my M15 R2.
