It doesn't come with an external power supply for the built in USB hub and wasn't sufficient to power everything I needed without it. It was also noisy.

This is my third cooler and I do not like this one. It is hard and very noisy. My last two were much quieter and had a soft bottom for when it was on my lap.

For the price, this laptop fan is terrible. The "lip" Doesn't really hold your laptop and the whole thing is made out of plastic. No button to control the fan and its pretty loud considering. I have had way better fans like from Kooltek that are cheaper, quitter, and made from better materials.

This product is small meaning compact which is a plus but overall this product sucks, sad to say. Sorry.

High pitched whine after working just fine for a month. The only way around it is to unplug the power supply a few times or just wait for it to go away.

recently bought this item and just happened to look and see its not eligible for return already. the fans have already went bad in this unit making so much noise and vibration that I had to remove power from it. a huge waste of money

built well and works well until fans stop working. everyone i've vought does the same thiing. cheaper to buy a new one than to replace the fans.

It didn't really work as advertised. The fans didn't work all the time and the USB connections didn't really transfer any power.

Fans are noisy. I bought two And every single one is noisy when I start the computer

We bought 2 of these in 2 weeks, thinking the first one was just bad. The second one did the same thing from day 1. The fans make noise as if they are bad. I could unplug it and plug it back in, and it would quiet down for a while, but would eventually get loud again. For the price of this thing, Targus should use better fans.

Was very disappointed upon taking the product out of the box, First off, it is VERY lightweight, flimsy, and cheaply made compared to other cooling pads I own. It feels like it will break with the slightest pressure on it. Secondly, despite it says it will fit 17" laptops, it is nowhere near wide enough to safely hold a 17" laptop, in fact it barely holds my old 15" laptop. Lastly, adjusting the incline is an exercise in frustration.

This product is noisy and after a month of use the Fans at start up rattle and screech for a few seconds until they get going.

If you don’t mind a terrible mid frequency hum-buzzing noise, go ahead. But this thing is terrible! Then there’s the fact that even your small 14” laptop will bounce in it and the 17” definitely does Not fit! Just avoid at all costs! Not worth the headache.

I bought a cooling platform for my laptop, and I will be returning it because fan noise is so loud as to be a major distraction.

The fans on this chill mat were very loud from day 1. I like the adjustable height feature so I ended up replacing the fans myself

1. Fans noisy. 2. No documentation for product telling how USB hub functions. I thought I would be able to use the USB hub for thumb drives. Not so. 3. You cannot use this product to say like .. recharge a phone without turning on the fans. Live and learn, do not buy Targus products, they do not do what they are supposed to do.
