First problem is the fans rattle and hum so loud that I have to keep turning it over and back upright until the noise stops which is probably because the mat itself is made of cheap plastic. And yes, Virginia you do have to unplug it or the fans will run continuously....so needless to say I am beyond disappointed in this product!

When I got it home and set it up, I found that my laptop did not fit on this pad. The manufacture indicated that it would fit, but I found that my laptop was tipping over the backside of this pad. I'm sure it would work on smaller laptops but not for mine. I returned the cooling pad unit the same day, disappointed

On week 4 every day when I started the laptop & the cooling system fans, the fans would chatter like they were going to explode. I returned it for a full and courteous refund. It worked great at the start. The tilt feature is very convenient and it kept my laptop a lot cooler. Hopefully, I just got a bad one.

The design of it with the piece at the front kept making the laptop slide off very easy and nearly hit the floor if I didn't catch it in time. The USB 2 ports in the back rarely worked. I liked having them, but often they did not work. I threw it out. Waste of money.

When the fan died the ports no longer worked. Somehow they should be separated. The only advantage I see to this product is the tilt, since I do not plug the unit in because I cannot turn off the fan, the unit's ports are useless. The fan is truly not long lasting, maybe 3 or 4 days before it died.
