My older laptop was overheating so much and I was afraid of it burning up. This chill mat made a huge difference and I was very glad for the purchase.

I use it all the time with my laptop. It keeps my laptop cool and I really love the different heights.

This is a great cooling fan for your laptop, I have lots of things running on mine and external drives hooked up. This fan has never let me down

purchased this for a gaming laptop that throws off a lot of heat. it keeps it under control but the laptop's heat is excessive.....could not imagine what it would be like without the mat!

This product cools effectively and the adjustable heights are a plus especially combined with my Mac laptop that has a sharp edge where my wrists rest. The ability to adjust the angle of the laptop with this product has reduced wrist pain while using my Mac while effectively cooling the system. The only downside is the constant hum from the fans, but if you don't mind white noise then this product is a good investment.

Keeps my laptop cool, the fans are quiet & it tilts in comfortable positions. Great buy at best buy.

I was stuck in bed after surgery and this worked perfect to keep my laptop cool while working in bed. It also fit nicely on top of a bed tray.

It does what it's advertised to do - cool your laptop. I like that it has two fans and it's nice to be able to adjust the height and angle of your computer. It doesn't seem to significantly cool my 15" Macbook Pro, the internal laptop fan still kicks in too, it just keeps it from totally overheating when running memory-intensive programs. Just be aware that the Targus fans are loud! Compared to other options on the market it feels a bit flimsy and lacks the additional usb ports that other models offer, so keep in mind that you're sacrificing a precious port if you use this and also want to plug in other peripheral devices like a mouse, keyboard, or external drive. You might want to invest in bluetooth-enabled peripherals or else a multi-usb hub. The biggest problem is the fan noise. It's not a big deal in a loud environment, but if someone sitting next to you is trying to follow dialogue on a tv show it can become an issue in my experience. That said, I like that it doesn't require a power supply (one more tether!).

It is easy and comfortable to use. I have seen others where the laptop rested on a ledge, which can interfere with keyboarding; this one does not.

I like how it helps keep my laptop cool, and how it can be raised. Only bad thing is the noise it sometimes makes.

I received this as a gift from my son this past christmas hubby got me a 1100.00 Dell laptop and son figured this would be a good gift I love it!

I have a new laptop and this works beautifully. I enjoy using it both at my desk or dining room table.

Seems to work well as far as keeping the laptop cool. But . . . . makes a lot of noise, and sometimes requires a shift of position or gentle smack to dial back the really loud noise. The elevation feature is probably more than you need. Just go with the basic mat and don't spend the money on this one.

My laptop is no longer overheating and going crazy! My cursor used to wander around the screen like a disembodied spirit but not now! I didn't realize when I bought the Chill Mat that it was adjustable. That was a great bonus! They only downside is that the fan makes a humming noise. It annoyed me at first but I'm getting a little more used to it. I don't know if it can be made quieter but it would be a really good idea.

When I purchased these it worked okay for a couple of days but as soon as I lifted the item to its full position to accommodate the laptop the fans started sounding like they were rubbing up against the plastic so I put it back down and turned it off and tried again and now when it starts up I have to physically tap the fans in order to stop the grinding sound but it does cool
