I guess it works fairly well? I have an old cooling platform I got about 15 years ago that still works fine and probably as good as this one or better, it just did not adjust for slope to make it easier to type. Still it probably cooled just as well as this one, but it was quieter. The fans are loud and the fans don't move a lot of air. I think my old one moved more air and it's smaller. One fan seems to blow less air than the other one. It's just okay. It does have the USB hub and that is nice. It does slope and that is nice. For $50, I think I could have did better. I should have built my own. The fans just seem cheap and noisy. That is my main complaint.

This item help keep you computer from over heating

It does what it suppose to do and keeps my computer cool.

Does what it says it does. It's a plus that has extra USB inclueded

The Targus chillmat raises the laptop so that typing is easier. This was my main purpose for purchasing the item. There is a fan to keep the laptop cool. However, the fan is loud and annoying.

I have used this chill mat for almost a year and the only complaint is the fan can get loud at times other than that it works great for me. You can adjust the height to have it slant high, low or medium. When plugged in the cooling system works great but as I said the fan can get noisy at times. The USB ports work good. I still use the the Mat whether it is plugged in or not. I have a 15" laptop and it fits underneath it just fine. I suppose I will continue to use it until the thing falls completely apart. It is sturdy and well made. I really do not have issues with the laptop cooling system whether the fan is in use or not. Lifted up to medium height makes the laptop run cooler anyway. So it is worth purchasing.

I would give this unit 5 stars except that this was a purchase to replace the exact same unit I bought in late 2018. My first unit developed a loud "whir" in one of the two fans (shortly after its' one year warranty ended, of course), and there wasn't anything I could do to stop/fix it. After enduring the noise for over a year, I recently started unplugging it and just used it as a laptop holder. This unit will probably see the same fate, but I prefer this cooling system over your alternatives. I just wish you were able to sell me a Best Buy protection plan for something this inexpensive ($50 is $50, but apparently below your plan levels).

It elevates your laptop and keeps it cool so it does the job. Its convenient also if you need to do work on a soft surface. It's good protection for improving the longevity of your laptop. More energy is used by the built-in fans, but that's just how it is.

It is huge, it is loud, but did help with cooling issues. Rather nice adjustability but it is so tall that it made using it on some desks rather awkward. I know fans are going to be noisy but for a cooling pad these were on a whole nother level.

Bought a laptop with this for my grandma. She’s very happy with it how she sees the keyboard of her laptop now. And before, she was complaining that her old laptop heats up. But with this one, it helps cooling down her new laptop. Grandma is pleased!

Fan make whinning noise on start-up @x's randomly.

Purchased this item 2 days ago, originally for a small laptop. I tested it under my large Gaming laptop (much heavier), and it held without any problems. I was disappointed that it was fully plastic, but happy that it holds the weight.

Perfect stand for a multi monitor setup. Makes your desk more organized and functional by leaving more room for other essential Stanton art items. The build quality is good but the fans can be a little loud. As a whole, a must buy for the work from home person

Purchased a new laptop and I feel not having a cooler pad with my last one caused it to heat up quickly. Want to make my new laptop last, love that it has a lift feature and can raise it to different levels. It can be a little noisey at times, but mostly forget I have it plugged in.

It is a laptop pad. It has fans. It has USB ports. That said, it feels like cheap plastic, like I'm going to break it from regular usage, let alone if it should fall off a couch or something.

I like the double fan cooling system, good price, although they start of with low noise and within a week of use it gets real loud. Cannot determine why, it just does. Not satisifed, I am returning the 2nd item, (exchanged). The first one was extremely horrible.

It keeps my computer cool. It is a bit loud when it is running.
