I got this for my mother who is diabetic and likes to put her laptop in her lap. She loves this one more than her last one, except for the noise the fan makes. It’s like a high pitch buzz or whine, and can be very irritating.

Bought for my son, so I don't know really how well it is working out. He has an iPad Air, do it is considerably smaller than the mat, so he may be using his lap just as much. I don't know.

I was happy to find a chill mat large enough for a 17" laptop. This one is noisier that the other one I owned. I like the feature of extra USB ports, handy to leave my camera cable and fitbit charger plugged in all of the time. Overall it is a good product.

Laptop user's will benefit from this product when using it because after awhile laptop becomes heated and if you have on your legs its uncomfortable.

Bends a little bit with my 18inch but works as it should!

I love how well it cools my laptop the only downer is that it drains my battery faster well worth it plugged in but slowed the charging considerably.

This product does a great job of maintaining airflow to a laptop, keeping it nice and cool. It also allows you to angle the laptop which is convenient, effectively leaning your keyboard up.

Functional. A bit clunky in appearance due to plastic construction. Also the fan is a little bit louder than I would like. Good price point, though.

Great idea and you definitely need a cooling pad for laptops but this one was TOO LOUD! I returned it and brought a different product. The fan worked well -- it was just too loud.

Would recommend this to everyone. I enjoy this very much.

I have an older dell mini laptop without. The device gets very hot because of it. This fans cools it does by sending air into the bottom vents. Recommend

This was exactly what we were looking for. Works perfectly for our new laptop. The height is adjustable, which makes it convenient. It is also very stable. We are pleased with this purchase.

I used to have a MacBookpro - older version that got heated up and burnt the mother board. This product - chill mat does the saving part of cooling the laptop and prevents the damage.

The adjustment makes gaming on a pc more comfortable and the added cooling is keeps the laptop cool for hours after it would normally begin to get warm.

For years (many), I have owned HP's 17.3 Laptops. They seriously get used around here. Then came 'overheat' issues, never failed. Well guess what? This is the 'MUST' have of cooling for your HP Laptops, hands down. I use mine in reverse mode... aka, turn it around. I have the larger opening 'facing' me. I don't have to even plug this 'into' my laptop. Just the angle it can adjust to (btw, you can adjust one side higher/lower than the other side - perk), keeps the laptop run'n cool. This is a bonus if you "Stream, Game, TV. etc. I give this AAA+ rating. I'm hard on it, and it takes it! Sorry HP, this is the simple fix and saves the customer $$$ :D

This Targus Chill Mat Cooling System is ok until you unplug it and turn it off. When I come back to it and plug it into my laptop, the fans make a horrible noise. Like the bearings are stuck or going out. I have to unplug it and replug it numerous times for it to work properly. Typically after 3-4 times of replugging the USB cable into my laptop, it will function properly and the horrible noise will go away. I tried to not be cheap when it came to this item. I would recommend looking at a different cooling system.

I am on my computer all day and sometimes outside so cooling is important. This unit works well and for the price it’s a bargain. No slipping around.
