Frustrating fan noise

Got it home, got it out, plugged it in, and...the fan is somewhat quiet but makes an irritating hum...much more than would normally be acceptable. Paid good money for an item that is disappointing!

Doesn't Turn Off 50% of the Time

The main problem I have is that every few days the fans seem to run very fast and sound like they are going to fall out or jam. This will go on for 1 or 2 minutes and then go back to normal.

I only wish I could turn the fans off. They run constantly when connected, but I have had no issues with them. Rest well in my lap, if I can to use it in a chair; no issues or discomfort.
