The thing is I bought mine because I really needed an efficient cooling pad/stand. I bought an AlienwareM17 laptop this year and well I never knew a laptop can get as hot at that thing. Its literally the sun in your lap..besides the high temps being bad for the components I also wanted it off my lap. This cooler is not able to cool my laptop, like at all. Some quick specs: corei7_8750H-RTX2070-32gbRAM. If I use this pad ever anymore it's only as a stand, I ended up buying a Cooler Master pad that actually works. It may work for your laptop but not mine. The fan is almost there for decorations seeing how little air it moves..

The unit has a great concept and features of tilt are a plus, the con on the build (my opinion) was the 4-port Hub which is located in the rear. I feel it would be a lot more accessible in the front or side of the hub, so users (as my self) who are extremely limited on space can have beneficial use of the hub. The dual fans were amazing for about 2 days, then they randomly make LOUD motor noises simular to sticking a playing card (in the vent to fans)and there's no real way to stop it unless you unplug it or as I did adjust the height (which isn't the easiest thing to do) then slam back down to flat (not with laptop on top). BAD experience overall. And there isn't any geek squad protection available -__-

I purchased this to cool off my laptop. There are fans but I’m not sure if it’s working properly. I never see it turn on. It at least prop my laptop up

This does what it is supposed to do . Good price at Best Buy

It allows the positioning on the laptop to make typing easier.

It could be a bit more sturdy, but it does everything I need it to do.

Bought this item at time of purchase; runs too loud

It does not hold my HP 360 Spectre if it is tilted. It slides off every time. I do not like that it actually takes a lot of battery power from the computer. The position of the fans seem to not catch the hottest parts of the computer. It works moderately.

It works,but it is very loud(the fans) for the first 5 minutes,but then it gets more quiet. Overall, it is louder than any other chill mat/pad I have ever used. I may avoid Targus products in the future.

I use it as something to elevate my laptop on only. The fan(s) became so noisy (about 6 weeks after I bought it) that I disconnected the USB cable to get them to stop running. An expensive stand unfortunately.

Do not buy this product. The fans make awful noise after a couple weeks of use if you start taking the laptop off and putting it back on the stand. It also will not stay at the height level that I set it to. Of course these issues occurred after Best Buy's return period was up since they only give 15 days so it was a waste of $50. The USB hub does work but with the noise issues and the adjustment level not locking, I would rate this a 0 if I could.

Serves it's purpose but a little shakey on reliability and longevity.

It's a bit small for my laptop but fits in my bag so it's all good.

it can get loud at times, but it's still a good product.
