I have used several different laptop fans. I have spent way too much money on these things. I had just bought a fancy $40 one that ended up breaking within the first week. Obviously I wasn't really thrilled with the idea of spending another $40+ on yet ANOTHER laptop fan, so I did some research and found this. The reviews seemed pretty promising and it was on sale. I took the risk and ordered it. So far it has been working pretty well. I do wish it were a bit stronger though. Overall I would recommend this if you need a good, inexpensive fan.

I bought this cooling mat on Black Friday, so I got it for a really good price. However, even at full price it would be a good value. It cools really well and is very quiet. I also like its compact size and one piece construction. The one I was replacing with this product, was huge and had a folding piece on the back that was always collapsing. The only negative is the rubber feet don't hold as well as expected but they do hold. All in all, I will buy this product again.

I picked up this chillmat after my Belkin broke. The belkin (dual fan) lasted me about 4 years of heavy use. I like the double fan of this chillmat. Clever design in that it raises the pad from the surface of my desk. the USB connection comes out on the left side so if you want to plug into a laptop you will need an extension cord to reach the right port. I must say I got this for $10 on sale. That was a big part of my purchase. I cannot say whether it's worth the list price

The Targus chill mat that features dual fans does help keep my laptop cool. The Targus is quiet--not as loud as my laptop fan when it is taxed. The laptop is secure because the Targus has edges that hold it in place. **I found that removing the laptop battery and using DC helps with overheating also.

The Chillmat does just that, Chills. It quickly and effectively cools off my laptop. It is not space consuming at all. All you have to do is plug it in the usb port and its working. For the price its a good deal.

I previously had a laptop cooler but it finally broke down. I was pleasantly surprised for the value it offered. It keeps my laptop moderately cooler than before. Not the best, but can't beat the value.

This is a good product. I like it so much that I bought 1 for my son & 1 for his girlfriend. It keeps your laptop much cooler by cycling the air with 2 fans but it plugs into 1 of the USB ports draining the battery somewhat quicker, not terribly though! It is still a good pad even if you do not plug it in. This goes EVERYWHERE our laptop goes! The first 1 I had my kids broke the USB cable, even though it tucks away nicely.

Targus 15.6" Lap Chill Mat (AWE79US) is the next step for the 17" (AWE55US). 1. Some laptop breathing room, dual fans blow up through vents to help the CPU heat. Cool. but “silent”? Annoy! 2. The over-sized L-shaped rubber stops are stops keep laptop from moving (the older version had sits on the plastic fan grate and can pull out easily). Easy to move around the laptop. 3. Light! 1 pound 6 ounces (the older version was 2 pounds). 4. Slim profile (1 inch!) as 2.2 inches older. 5. Good design for the USB cable; a fancy post avoids snags.

This chill mat is light weight and easy to use. Fans do not make much noise as well. Only issue I see is that Fan will keep on working though Laptop is in sleep mode. You need to disconnect USB explicitly to stop the fan working. Other than that it is good value for money.

I bought this for my 15.6" laptop. It plugs in with a USB and works well. It's a basic chill mat and prevents my laptop from over heating.

Design is good and the product is light. It does cool my laptop down when it starts overheating, generally when I have Photoshop running along with a movie and every other application. The only issue it does have is it occasionally has this odd whirring noise which can be obnoxious if you don't have music playing. Otherwise, it's worth the money.

This is a great chill mat if you like to use your laptop on your bed or on the couch. It keeps the laptop from overheating. The fan on my HP laptop is super loud and with this chill mat it makes it hardly noticeable because mat keeps it cool and there is no need for my laptop to use its fan. It is also great if you like to put your laptop on your lap since you won't feel the warmth of the laptop on your lap.

Lightweight, not bulky, low noise & good price. But it gets the laptop hot instead of cooling it when plugged to the USB & it actually shortens the laptop's battery life. I still use it without plugging it into the USB anymore and it actually keeps the laptop cooler that way and keep my laptop's battery life longer.

It does it's job and it's quiet. I have a macbook pro and it makes a loud noise then it uses its fan to cool itself down but this mat chill actually does its work, very quiet and not only that, when you plug it in while the laptop is trying to cool itself down with its own fan, the fan from the laptop gradually lessens because the mat works really well.

For between 15-25 MORE dollars you can get a wider platform and stronger fan... But this model is fantastic! This product is well made, the grips keep my laptop from sliding around and its very quiet!!! I recommend this product if you are looking for something to ventilate the base of a working laptop. It will not replace a fan -- but it will save your laptop from overheating on all surfaces (even while working on your lap or bed).

I have a 15,6 laptop and the cooling station gives great coverage. At home it keeps the computer stationary on the table and even after 4 to 6 hours of computer use, the the computer is still cool to the touch. I had to wait for someone at the hospital for 4 1/2 hours. There were no tables to put the computer on. I used the cooling pad on the arm of the chair to keep the computer steady. Also the cooling pad is whisper quiet. I would say it is a great purchase. It also comes in a larger size for the 17.5 laptop so you are covered for that to. Sturdy, reliable, quiet, and a great value. Pick one up you will not be sorry.

It was on clearance. My Yoga 2 It fits on it perfectly! The added height is making typing much easier when using on the coffee table as I normally do when at home. It does require a USB port, but my laptop is never running to the point of overheating. It does move a lot of air quietly. Glad to have made the purchase.
