Purchased because the fan from 5 & Below's cord broke; figure I'll try, what I thought was, a better quality fan. However, the fan from 5 & Below kept my laptop cooler. Does not keep my laptop cool like I wish, therefore, using a small desk fan too but do use this device to elevate my laptop off the table. Didn't take it back to the store because I needed it for when I went out of town for a week. Just didn't stay on laptop as long as I wanted to each time. After about 30 minutes, would close laptop cover for approx 5 minutes before getting back on. Just kept doing this which was inconvenient.

Not sure how effective it is. Keeps the heat off your legs/lap, but can't tell if it cools off the computer at all.

The fans work in opposition to the computer. The computer laptop is trying to blow hot air out. Since these fan blow in the opposite direction, they work against the computer fan's purposes. My wife bought a Belkin single fan unit that works well, and I wish I had done the same.

This is really cool since i mostly keep my laptop on the bed with me...its light and durable..connects right to my usb

So i picked one of these up today because it was on sale for 19.99 and it had 2 fans as opposed to most of what they had in store only having one. Well i can tell you it's going right back to the store tomorrow. it didn't cool my laptop down at all, if anything it was even hotter when trying to play games with it than usual. I was going to get the logitech one but of course this one had to be on sale and sway my decision. i've never bought a cooling pad so thought i'd not invest too much at first. big mistake. don't waste your time. i can't believe i paid 20 bucks and it does nothing.

This product is decent, but the fans don't seem to do a lot to direct air away. Consider other products before coming to this one.

I just bought this product, took it home, and to my dismay found out one of the fans didnt work. I'll be taking it back on monday and I'm not sure if I'll get the same one. The one fan that does work doesn't seem to push out much air, but if I had the other fan working it might be adequate.

Seems to work great so far. Easy to setup and came free with my computer. Updates as needed.

Too small for a 15" laptop so I ended up returning it.

no air, can not fill the air. took it back the same day.

I have an older Targus PA248U cooling fan that is at least 5 years old. That one puts out far more air than this new one does. My experience with that one is the reason I purchased another Targus fan for my new laptop. I am very disappointed in the performance of this new one. I will not buy a Targus cooling fan again. I had to put 4 little pink erasers between it and the laptop just to get a little bit of air circulating.

I have Sony Laptop with 3 USBs on right side panel... This mat has the USB cord on left side of it and cable is not long enough to reach to the other side. Avoid if you dont have a USB port on right side...

I have used lots of laptop coolers for work and for personal use. I have been in the IT industry for 8 years and this product is horrible, a waste of money, and a disappointment.. I rather go out and buy something from Coolmaster or Thermaltake. CPUID software showed very little temperatures difference while using this product. Save your money and go get a better product that actual works.Buying and returning this product ended costing me money by time and gas.

Worthless for me. It is quiet in my opinion, but that's because the fans hardly move any air. Not big enough for a 15" laptop. The cord isn't long enough to reach the right side where all my ports are. Had to use it backwards but made sure the fans were in the right place for purposes of evaluating the cooling performance. My laptop doesn't overheat without it, just a bit uncomfortable on the legs after a while. I think a padded lap table w/o a fan would work just fine for me, and be more comfortable as well.

Lightweight and a little small for my Macbook Pro but it's doable. The real problem is that it feels like it's just blowing hot air.

Purchased on 09/18/2012, was excited to use. After plugin in, I lifted my computer to see how cold it would be and found out that it was even hotter then when it was on my desk. Will be exchanging next day.

Bought this to replace a previous cooling mat for a laptop that overheats when doing higher graphics apps. Could use the apps for hours at a time with previous cooling mat (which recently broke). Started using the Targus cooling mat, and Laptop has a thermal shutdown after less than 10 minutes, running the exact same apps I successfully used before. Clearly not enough airflow to do an adequate job.

I thought being this chill mat had dual fans it would put out a decent amount of air. I was wrong. Not much seems to come out. Luckily my computer has the Cool Sense technology so my computer stays pretty cool anyway. I will be looking for a better chill pad.
