I didn't like this case due to the hinge. Even brand new I can see that the hinge would not allow the case to stay closed and not close aligned. I was not about to take the chance to see what would happen after some use.

Love it especially the keyboard light. Nice protective case.

Bought this product a while ago. Haven't fully used the product to test all features but will soon with business trips coming up.

Great keyboard to use and has a power supply for backup; which becomes very handy if you have something to charge.

Very practical, well engineered product which I use all the time.

I checked out the ZAGG "rugged" offering, as well as this. The reason I preferred this one is because it has a permanent rotating hinge. The ZAGG one you have to disconnect the iPad half from the keyboard half and it seemed very plasticky. Also, the Targus looks very slick! It works perfect with the iPad Air (fits perfect), though I read a review that the Air 2 might not. I can't confirm since I only own an Air. The case is coated so it has a rubberized feel, very solid, and the backlit keys look amazing. It's also a very dark gunmetal gray, which compliments Space Gray. Bluetooth pairing was smooth and battery life is incredible. My iPad Air truly looks like a mini laptop now.

Had it for about 30 days when it took a 20" drop. The hinge failed immediately. I contacted Targus (since this had a 48" drop rating) but they refused to cover it under warranty. Two weeks later, the Bluetooth connection failed without any additional drops or mishaps. So, I'm left with basically a $90 backup battery for my iPad. I'm going to invest in a Zagg case as a replacement.
