The locking tab is magnetized and secures the closure of the cover. The case is very heavy and changes the overall portability. Still looking for both a lightweight portable case and one that provides drop protection, but satisfied with this case for the moment.

It fits the iPad fine and provides some protection, but it's not very impressive. The design is rather plain, and it feels a bit cheap. The stand feature is handy but not very sturdy. It's a functional case, but there are better options out there.
