This unit did fine... for a while. After a couple of years, we realized it never actually performed a software update and almost every app has stopped working on it. We can't use it for AirPlay, can't run most streaming apps, etc... We've tried manual software updates (they fail), USB drive updates (fails), switching to other networks to do updates (failed), etc... it simply never works. We contacted the manufacturer's support and they had us try everything I'd already tried for 3 hours before I had to get back to other tasks. At this point I'd recommend just about any TV over this one.

Screen sharpness and contrast is good. ROKU remote forces menu access to allow the use of Verizon box and Verizon remote. Nice additional channels are available for free and/or purchase on ROKU. Legs are cheaply made but work. Hookups are on the right side.

The television has a nice picture. Sometimes there is a lag time between the cable box and tv, but it may be the cable companys fault. Very easy to get to the streaming channels you want to see and the free Roku shows are nice.

This is my first smart TV. Did some research before buying to determine the best interface. Roku is great and so is this TV. That being said, I have no idea what the speaker sounds like. Sound comes through my stereo.

This is our second experience with a TCL Roku TV in a small room. The main TV is a LG set in the living room. Both are similar. I'm still learning and once we establish the channels we want to have available things are going well.

Great tv for my kids bedroom. I bought 2 and both have worked perfectly over the past 2 years.

Great TV for the price, perfect for a smaller to medium size room. The Smart TV software runs much faster than our previous one. My only issue is the sound quality doesn’t seem to be as good as our previous TV, it doesn’t sound as full. I’ll probably end up getting a sound bar or speakers at some point.

Going on 10th month of use. Pretty good product and in use regularly. 40 inch and 43 inch TCL roku would not make a huge difference. Go either way and you will be happy with your experience.

Great tv for the price, not the best picture and sound but an average tv for what you pay. I would’ve spent a little more money if I knew the picture and sound was like this. Too bad a display model wasn’t on the floor to review. But, still an overall okay tv.

Awesome tv but my screen broke and I’ve been trying to get it fixed. I would like another one like it because I like this tv.!! But Best Buy said my geek squad plan won’t cover so now out a tv.

Picture quality is great for a small tv. But the responsive of the remote and the menus are extremely delayed, menu is not as intuitive.

This is actually my 3rd TCL Roku TV in the house. I like that you have everything right there in one spot, movies, music, favorite streaming channels. So I have them in 3 rooms in the house.

Sales associate guided us to buy the TLC_40" smart roku tv. we had planned on buying the samsung 40 " and he showed us the TLC 40" with better picture and more viewing options.

My 1st smart tv and its great. Have had it for 2 years abd still good.

Great value, can't believe I got this much TV for $140. Obviously not for a home theater but I put this in my barn so I can have the game on when I'm working out there.

It works perfectly and comes with access to many different streaming services. User interface is very simple and easy to use unlike many other newer TV's. Great quality for the price.
