I bought this over the 4 series 50 inch mainly because it has a flat black bezel versus glossy and preferred that look. This is my first smart TV and I am very impressed- I paired this with a soundbar using ARC and can use the TCL remote and to control everything. Great!

The only thing I have noticed is that the sound varies a lot from one streaming app to another (loud on one, then quiet on another even though you haven't changed the volume at all). But other than that it's a great tv for the price.

Great budget tv

Having the Roku features make it nice as well. Colors seems a little washed, but response times are great for the xbox. Again, for the price, a good choice. Would definitely look into a better model one day because of this purchase.

TCL 49" Class LED 5 Series 2160p Smart TV

Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.OK , I got this TV almost two years ago and it has been good up until now, luckily I got the extended warranty, still waiting on repair but I believe the tuner has gone out because I can't pick up any live channels as to where I could before and on the extended warranty they didn't make everything clear at purchase of the details, for example they won't replace it or let you upgrade with out fist trying to fix it first, that is OK except after talking geek squad and was told again that I could bring it in and swap it out, loaded it up and went all the way to store and found out, that wasn't the case but anyway I got the warranty because I don't know much about the history of TCL and I am glad I did and the service department was very nice on the phone , better than the rep at the store, overall I am still satisfied with purchase except for the miss information on the warranty and of course the tuner going out, we will see what happens ! I am checking yes on recommending assuming that it will be repaired , oh I got 5year plan, wheww.
