A Fly got trapped on the inside of the screen
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Only had the tv for 5 days and a fly found its way inside and to the front screen and then died on the screen. Now I have a black spot and fly guts on the screen. Life still considers to amaze me. SMH

POOOOOR Remote

I should have returned the set when I had trouble setting it up. Remote sticks and don't even try to push the remote buttons more to make it catch up. TV almost went out the window on the 1st day. NOT worth the grief.

Gets hot

There are options available to adjust the picture settings to better fit your personal preference. You can access the Options menu on the TV by pressing the asterisk (*) button on your remote while watching content. Additionally, you can access expert picture settings by downloading the free Roku mobile app on a smartphone or tablet. The Roku mobile app works as a remote and allows you to access additional features like voice search, private listening, advanced picture settings, and more. Hope this helps & happy viewing!

Terrific 4K TV for the price!

This is an upgrade from a 42" Vizio that is in the living room. Love the size, probably could have squeezed a 55" in the space I had (I have bookcases on both sides of my tv) but I am very pleased with the 49". I have had Roku streaming units in the past and this was a "no-brainer" to go with this integration. Works like a champ. I also love the fact that you can use a thumb drive in the usb port to pause and rewind live tv. Only works with antenna, but since I am a cord cutter this is a nice feature. Colors look wonderful, I did spend quite a bit of time to find the right setting but I think i have it to my liking. I have a Xbox One, not the "S" version and the graphics look superb, I can only imagine what they would be like with the Xbox One S. My only gripes are these: 1) viewing angle is somewhat limited, once you started viewing from an angle that is not straigh ahead, the colors get light or washed out. For me that big of a deal since my couch and other reclining are still within a good angle with no viewing issues 2) Speakers are pretty weak in my opinion. Not necessarily with the voiume, just the way it sounds. Might have to invest in a soundbar. My old tv had better speakers. Nothing major but still a knock on the sound 3) Dolby Vision - someone mentioned the constant auto adjustment and I have experienced that with at least two movies that I have streamed thru VUDU 4k dolby vision: "The Last Jedi" and "Wonder", I know it is not my internet connection, so I wish I could just disable the auto adjust (not sure if that is an option). I watched Black Panther thru Vudu with HDR and that streamed fine, so I think it is a Dolby Vision thing. At the end of the day, I am very pleased, I would give this tv a 4 rating. It is terrific tv with lots of bang for the buck. I would recommend this tv to my friends. Setup was a breeze and love the Roku O/S. I do have an apple tv 4k device and xbox one attached and both perform flawlessly on this TCL unit.

Good starter 4K TV

Not a great tv.

I had to buy a hub to use with tv. I bought this tv with the advertised 3 hdmi ports. The ad did not tell me that 1 port was only for soundbar or receiver. Picture is not that great out of the box.

Posted .Sorry for your confusion. There are definitely three functional HDMI ports on the TV. The third one will act as DUPLICATE input/output for connecting to an external audio source compatible with HDMI ARC. Garbage TV

Disassembled my old setup, mount this, turn it on and watch it for about 15min only to have to screen begin to flash black and then back to the picture. No matter what input i was on or even while doing the factory reset it started doing it. I wanted to try this company cause i heard good things and they were reasonably priced but boy was i disappointed. Never again will i buy from this company. Spend the extra money and get the Samsung UN6900, the picture is 10x better and guess what it works no problem! BB was awesome though except they had me go back and forth a few times to get a new model even though i had the part number to the new tv I wanted

Just not that great

I never had that problem with my 42 inch Samsung. On Netflix, the picture is great however. Overall, I am just disappointed in this TV.

If the pixilation, or as you refer to digitization, is only occurring with the satellite then there many be a problem with how it is currently set up or the signal it is receiving. Bad panel luck

I got this tv on cyber monday but returned and did not exchange because Best Buy raised the prices of this tv and I would have to pay the difference for a product I already bought!! Makes no sense... TCL "would" be a really good brand if their quality control was better. I feel like I just got unlucky with my panel but the people in the factory should not let panels like this go through in the first place!!! If you dont want to go through a bunch of tvs just spend more and get any other major brand, but if you do buy TCL just know it will be a hit or miss with your panel luck as stated in other reviews. Roku is awesome tv aside.
