This is an excellent TV for the price. After doing ALOT of research, I purchased the 49" TCL Series 5; the picture clarity and color is amazing. I was also looking at the Samsung and LG TV's, and in the end purchased the TCL, which I don't regret whatsoever. The main deciding factor was the streaming platform-TCL has Roku TV and Samsung and LG each have their own. I'm not a huge TV watcher and Roku is all I need to satisfy my TV watching. I'll probably subscribe to Netflix or PureFlix during the Winter months and have ONLY FREE Roku TV during the Summer. I have been going to Best Buy for the last two years for all my electronic purchases and have had nothing but outstanding customer service.

The Samsung TV I bought last year died a month passed the warranty period. I was going to replace it with another name brand TV. The rep at Best Buy recommended this TCL. I was hesitant to buy it because I was not aware of this brand but eventually decided to give it a try. It turned out to be a great decision. The picture quality is superb. The colors are more accurate than the Samsung it replaces which tended to be overexaggerated. The Roku app is easy to use and the built-in HDMI ports also outperform the Samsung. My Panasonic soundbar used to drop off when there was interference from driveby cars. It has not happened with this new TV. I’m very happy with this purchase.

Love the built in Roku. I originally bought one of these for my office at work. Due to how good the TV performs and the features, I bought one for my home family room. Great price for 4K with HDR.

Colors are great and no dead pixels. Have my Xbox connected and loving the HDR play. Only had it for a short time now so fingers crossed it stays great.

Bought this one sale and the picture is terrific. Used for movies and gaming mainly the colors are bright but not overpowering. Great response time and Roku is always welcome. Great buy!

I had to return the first tv because it would "hang up" and continue to recycle without getting to the ROKU menu. The second one seems to be working fine. Beautiful picture!! Not the best if viewed at an angle.

This TV is the perfect size for my space. It has a great picture quality and the Roku is so easy to use. Only a few buttons on the remote unlike my old one from the cable provider.

This is my second TCL Roku TV and they have a great picture and sound for the price. I also like that all my apps are built right in and easy to get to. My kids find it simple to use as well.

I had previously purchased an older TCL Roku TV for my mother in law, and really fell in love with the UI. But when I got this 5 Series I knew they had done some improvements with the overall picture. It is great on everything I have played, live sports or broadcast shows, Netflix, and Amazon Prime. Although I have not played alot of 4k specific content, what I have tested looked fantastic. The speakers, like most flat screen TVs today, are just OK, but I'm not too concerned about that since I will be getting either a surround sound system or soundbar as one of my next big purchases. I highly recommend this TV to my friends, even those who only buy "name brand".

Tv was easy to wall mount due to its light weight. I use the ROKU and a Firestick to stream context and the picture and sound quality are AWESOME. Will be purchasing another for my den✌️

I accidentally broke my "old" TV that was about 6 months old and in a pinch, I grabbed this one. This is a newer version to the one I already loved, but with Dolby Vision. Big fan.

Great picture. Easy setup. Be aware though the tv is super thin so only specific wall mounts may work due to the very little spacing options. But tv is awesome and great value.

Plenty of apps, good clear picture, priced affordable. Volume needs turned up quite a bit when watching apps & the remote is kinda a pain in its limitations.

we are still enjoying the TV. It's easy to use. The only problem we are having is with the remote. The on off button seems to not be working and we have to manually turn the TV on.

It took a little while to get used to the remote. You have to point it directly at eye at base of TV. Otherwise, picture is fine and w/ Roku, no wires!!!

I was really impressed on how well this TV performs compared to other TVs in its class, for much less. After seeing the review on Wirecutter, it reinforced my decision to go with TCL. I also suggest people pair this with Roku's speakers too, they pair so simply, just like Apple's Airpods. They sound fantastic and have a good enough EQ that I can leave it on the "leveling" setting to balance the audio from switching from one youtube video to another, or avoiding quiet to loud scenes in a show/movie

Great TV for the wall and stand it sits on. The picture and color are excellent. We paid extra and got TV with built in Roku well worth it. Plus we got a free gift card for buying

I'm glad I'm reviewing this TCL smart TV a good distance from the time I bought it. I had never gotten the full use of the TV and streaming off YouTube was nearly impossible. However, I have worked through that process and have my Apple TV, Roku TV, Amazon, and YouTube all working very well through it, including cable. As for the picture, it's not perfect but more than adequate. I do realize that the Series 6 is more advanced and probably has a better picture. But if you buy a cheaper Series 5, it will meet your needs. I have come to appreciate this TV over time. It was a solid value for the money I paid for it now that all systems I use are in full function.

Best bang for the buck. If you have limited space but want top notch picture quality look no further. Easy to set up and it automatically connects you to 4K and Dolby programming.

Great TV for the price. We had a Samsung before for 8 years & it just wasn't in the budget to get another one. This TV has been awesome. The picture is good & having a Smart TV is really cool & easy to use.
