For the price an excellent smart TV

Set up was simple-got an accurate program guide--this has sometimes been a problem with other brands since we live in an area served by a repeater and the repeater channel numbers do not match the original tv channel. Excellent picture--much better than a 4 year old 60 inch "name brand" tv. Of course that older tv is not UHD. The conversion of tv broadcast at 480i or 720i is excellent. No artifacts and the picture appears better than the broadcast resolution. Don't know how long will last only had a few weeks.

So much better picture than 1080i
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best Buy techs did great service of delivery, setup, and wiring to existing multispeaker system, and also retained my satellite connection for access until this old dog mastered the new trick of streaming TV. Friends recommended Roku OS so, although I have had fine experience with Samsung, I did not want the company's proprietary OS. I did a LOT of research prior to purchase and learned the unfamiliar Chinese brand TCL has a strong value rating. I am limited to the 39" size due to placement in built in shelves, and TCL puts upgraded tech into this "smaller" size. Some manufactures do not.

The composite connection for this TCL Roku TV is a single input located between the coaxial input and the Headphone Jack. The TV comes with an adapter to connect the traditional red/white/yellow cables you are used to seeing. Hope this helps & enjoy!

like the roku, picture is just ok for 4k

It's a steal at 400$ but it obvious they cut corners to come out with this. For the bedroom its fine though and the roku built in is really great. I'm regretting not going for $200 more and getting the higher end tcl.
