The clarity and high definition of this tv is great. I love the Roku remote because it's so easy to use. Despite adjusting the settings, the color seemed washed out. But to be fair, the tv that I'm replacing is a plasma. I upgraded to the QLED 6 series in this brand and am very pleased!

The TV is fine. I’m not tech snob but so far it’s worked out great. The tv stand it comes with is way too wide out in my opinion. I had to buy a new tv stand that creates a base in the center to get it to fit on the TV stand. If you plan to mount it or don’t mind getting a tv base to accommodate for a smaller tv stand then I’d say it’s a buy.

A good solid TV, excellent for the money. Love the Roku integration, makes it very easy to use and navigate to what you want to watch. The only downside, as is typical, is the sound. I’m using the TV in a medium sized bedroom & I’m borderline as to whether I’m going to get a sound bar for it. But, all in all money well spent.

The tv is great for the price you pay. We stream a lot son it is great to just have a Roku remote because that is what we are used to. Also nice to name your devices instead of hdmi 1 or 2. Little glare so don’t use as tv near a window with a lot of light.

Everything I need in a TV. It is very easy to use.

This is a Great value for the type and size of tv.

I was very impressed with the picture quality after checking out the model in-person. However once I set up the TV at home, the picture seemed very sub-par (even with HD channels). Not sure why the sharpness isn't the same. Be warned.

Overall a nice TV for the money. Wireless connectivity and apps make it great for watching dirty videos especially. I'm already thinking 55" is too small, tho ... bigger truly is better!

Overall a pretty good tv. We just use it for streaming and casual gaming. Recently has the issue of videos not loading and has to reset the internet connection through the tv settings. Hopefully this isn’t a reoccurring issue since we’ve only had the tv for about a month.

I would not recommend this TV. I'm not sure it it's the brand or technology. I purchased this TV and about 30 days later the screen froze up and now it'a stuck at the intial start up screen. I can't return it because the return period is 15 days. I've been waiting on a part for a few weeks now (Tech says the motherboard locked up). I purchased this TV because the one I had stopped working after 6 years. And now I'm back at square one and stuck without a TV for who knows how long.

This is an excellent smart TV for the price. The TCL 55" class 5 series LED 4K UHD smart Roku TV has all the apps built in that you would normally want and use. I would recommend this smart TV to a friend.

Got this TV on sale for 299 the other day. Finally got it set up for a friend and I was pleasantly surprised at how good the screen is. Tested 6 underground on Netflix and it looks awesome! Definitely worth the price!!!

TCL TVs have some great reviews online and, although they are still in the budget category, the 525 is definitely not the cheapest out there. How disappointing that after driving to the store and back 20 min each way, installing it, and hooking up my various streaming accounts, my first TCL 55” 525 started showing signs of vertical blue rectangles on the screen within minutes of beginning to watch a show. I drove back to the store to exchange it - another hour and half down. My second tv was slightly better but had similar blue bars that are not acceptable. So I’ll be bringing it back to Best Buy AGAIN. I’m so disappointed with TCL. Save your money and buy a name brand that doesn’t have these quality issues. I would rate it as 0 stars if possible.

Had never bought a smart tv before but wanted to find a good tv for streaming at a college apartment. This is easy to use and setup took no time at all. Picture is great. Very satisfied with my purchase.

I am a fan of the Roku platform so this TV is great for me. It didn’t come with the voice activated remote so I bought one directly from Roku and was very easy to pair. Overall happy with my purchase.

Takes awhile to get used to the resolution. Only real problem is that the tv resets itself often. Disconnects from internet and resets and it takes awhile to finish. Feel like we have to check for updates daily to make sure it doesn’t shut off.
