A good budget choice for the PS5
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fantastic tv. This is truly the best bang for your buck TV out there. I would particularly take note of the fact that it has VRR and 120hz support which works flawlessly for the PS5 Pro. It makes everything just silky smooth and it being mini LED makes the HDR content really pop out. A great choice.

Great TV for the Price
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far so good! TV looks and sounds great. The operating systems comes with some great built in apps, and the picture looks great. Gaming has been great so far on the TV. It’s noticeable that it doesn’t get the pure blacks on an OLED, but still looks pretty good. Great for the price. I’m giving it 4 stars because the set up and settings were a little confusing. For example, it took me a few days and some YouTube searches to figure out how to turn on VRR. I’ve also noticed that the operating system has become a little sluggish after only a week or so of use, but overall still runs fine.

Best bang for the buck under $700
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was hesitant to get this make and model TV because of the reviews on here. However, I took a chance, and I'm glad I did. Everything looks so nice on this TV. I upgraded from a series 4 TCL from 2019 and it is noticeable when gaming and watching movies. My only complaint is the Hulu app seems to be bugged. Sometimes the video plays and I can hear it, but I can't see the picture. The only fix I've found is to completely unplug the TV. This is most likely on Google's OS end. If you use an external player like Roku or Nvidia shield, you'll most likely be okay. Playing Destiny 2 crucible on 120hz is such a smooth experience and I can't go back to 60hz. Make sure you update the TV ASAP, that seems to have ironed out a bunch of complaints people initially had.

Good TV a bit buggy and issues with Audio.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this TV 2 years ago. At first it worked well with no issues. The picture quality is still as good as when I first got it. Its now buggy at times where the user interface is very slow, the screen for some reason always dims down everytime I turn the TV on and I have to go in and change it. Also everyone once in a while the audio stops working and the only way to fix is to unplug the power and plug it back in. Very annoying.

Great quality for what it is.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: One of the more affordable 4k 120hz TVs. Great picture in this price range. Supports HD Gaming and makes everything look good. Low pixle sheer for an LED TV. Supports up to 2 HDMI 2.1. Cons: Consumes a lot of power in this image quality range. Not energy star certified. Television is very heavy for its size. Overall I'm very happy with this TV. I would say I have seen LG with superior power savings and weight but way out of my budget as much as double the price. OLED looks better but at an even greater price and less reliable. This 55" TCL is perfect to unwind from work on the couch.

Best deal for those who just want a good TV
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got the TV because I wanted to have something in my current room/future living room. I was looking for a well reviewed TV with Android TV a 120hz refresh rate 4k panel. This TV delivers on everything and for a wonderful price. I plan on hooking up my Xbox this weekend and seeing what it really has to offer. So far general TV watching is great. It's not go all the bells and whistles but $1000-$1700 less than all the bells and whistles it's a rather great option

Great picture even though Google TV is clunky/slug
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As of November 5, 2021 latest firmware update. The TCL Google TV is not a glitchy mess. I had the TCL P605 series before this one. Motion handling is real great being 120hz panel. TV comes with two HDMI 2.1 inputs and two HDMI 2.0 inputs. XSX recognize the TV doing everything except Dolby Vision gaming at 120hz. So if you want Dolby Vision gaming? Switch the XBOX to 60hz refresh rate or keep it on 60hz. Great picture and colors out of the box. This TV can make bad HDR games look good with Dynamic Tone Mapping. Works great for Bloodstained and Nier Automata. If your existing tv doesn't have any auto HDR tone mapping feature already? Sound quality is great when running through a receiver. TV has a 7 band parametric EQ as well, I don't know why but, okay! The HDR is done better than the TCL P series P605, subtle highlights pop even more with the higher Nits/brighter screen. I would give the TV 5 stars. But Google TV UI is clunky or sluggish at times. Roku TV UI is much snappier and consistent.

Better than expected for the price point.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Decided to pull the trigger and get a new TV for my Series X. I was a little skeptical about the differences 4 years would make. The series 5 had Dolby vision, atmos, and 4K HDR. I wanted a TV with native 120hz. First thing I noticed when I picked it up from Best Buy was the weight difference. It was about 10 pounds heavier than the old tv. Which I didn’t have any gripes about. Brought it inside, took it out of the box, and I finally understood the weight difference. The bezel is way thicker but in a good way. (Keep reading) The stands and everything was made out of metal, which I liked for the price. I got it up and running, it took about 30 minutes of software updates but that was to be expected. I would recommend Google over Roku due to its android platform, it is actually 175% faster in benchmark testing than the Roku. Me and the wife immediately downloaded all the streaming channels and started watching one of our shows. The difference in quality from the series 5 to series 6 is unbelievable. The 120hz 4K hdr is smooth and crisp (with good internet) and the brightness and the colors of the screen were crazy to look at during nighttime. (Turn the brightness down at night or you’ll be blinded) The motion of the scenes were unparalleled to our old tv. After watching it for a while we noticed that the Samsung soundbar we have hated for the past three years actually was encoding correctly for the first time (7.1) and we could finally hear the voices of the protagonist/actors/antagonists clearly for the first time. I’ve been playing F122 and am start in to notice the differences when playing. It’s way more responsive which leads to better lap times (playing with a driving rig) I had to tinker with the colors and brightness, and still tinkering with them but everything is very smooth, crisp, and clean. The only gripe I have is DOLBY VISION isn’t picking up when I load a game. But I’m sure TCL will fix that glitch sooner or later. Yet to play a shooting game, but I’m sure it will be awesome. Also this thing with google is packed with features. So many features I haven’t used them all yet. It’s nice to dim the lights with the remote, or check the doorbell as well with the TV. It’s a great value. Best value I’ve had with a tv. I didn’t think the upgrade would be worth it. But it was so far so good. I got it at Best Buy for $680 after tax and I’m glad I did. Like I said there are shortcomings in the software that can be patched. But the software that’s embedded in the tv is way more responsive than my series 5. I’m planning yo buy another 6 for the bedroom to update that tv as well. It’s worth the price point,
