Customers regard the 55" Class 6-Series Mini-LED QLED 4K UHD Smart Google TV very favorably for its picture quality, refresh rate, and ease of use, with many praising the brightness, black levels, and HDR capabilities. However, some users have reported issues with the software and operating system, experiencing occasional lag or glitches. The remote control also received mixed reviews, with some finding it subpar. Overall, the television's strong visual performance is often offset by software-related frustrations.
It seems this TV is permanently on sale ever since the new generation came out and the new price is fantastic. Bright colors and very inky blacks for a non-oled TV. HDMI 2.1 is perfect for using this for gaming if that's what you want. I don't have much to say about the built in speakers because I have my own stereo setup but I feel most people spending over $500 on their TV will buy a soundbar or stereo anyways but the little I did use them they sounded alright. The 120hz is fantastic and there is little smearing however light does bleed around bright objects on dark backgrounds but thats to be expected on a TV from this proce range, along with the meh upscaling. The TV does get slow after a while and that can be fixed by turning off fast start or whatever it's called because by default, instead of fully turning off, the TV only goes into a sleep mode which eventually fills up it's system memory. Hoelwevr turning off fast start the TV fully turns off which clears it's RAM and it runs like new each time it's turned on. I've only had the TV for almost a month so not long enough for a super comprehensive review but those are my thoughts.

I have seen test results that show the TLC 6 Series/R646 2021 as the fourth-best TV TLC has produced. I used what I learned from those results and bought the TCL (R646) brand new from Best Buy for $399. The information I received from those test results was spot on. The information I got rated it an 8.0 for mixed usage, an 8.7 for gaming, an 8.4 for PC use, and an 8.1 for HDR movies. A rating of 7.5 or above is good to excellent. The picture colors and contrast are great with Dolby Vision, and the sound is immersive with Dolby Atmos. The dark contrast is excellent for a non-OLED TV, and there is no worrying about image burn-in. This TV has advanced gaming features like variable refresh rate (VRR) support and two HDMI 2.1 bandwidth inputs. It's designed to take full advantage of the Xbox Series X and PS5. The HDMI 2.1 bandwidth for 4K @ 120Hz is perfect for gaming with low input lag. Lastly, watching HDR content is impressive because it displays a wide color gamut and gets bright enough to make highlights pop. The price was 20%- 40% cheaper than anything I found, with specs and image quality close to those I just described. BEST DEAL FOR THE PRICE. Best Buy even refunded me $30 when I found a cheaper price online. I have had it for 15 months with no problems and am very happy with my choice. Thank you, Best Buy

I did a lot of research before picking this Tv a few things that surprised me , Reflection handling isn't as good as Rtings reviews say.. Yeah it defuses light but it makes this weird star effect when doing so.. (pic below) The viewing angles are much better than in the Rtings reviews say.. I'd say even at around 50-60 degrees still watchable.. The processing.. I really wasn't looking for this when I picked it.. But surprised me on the 5 series lots of old low res content was basically so ugly it was unwatchable.. This Tv does a good job cleaning it up and removing pixellation.. This is a must have if you like to watch old TV shows from the 90's like I do... HDR pop ,3D effect is great once you get the Tv settling dialed in.. but I expected that... since it has good brightness and miniled. I got this as an upgrade from a TCL 5 series from the same year (s546).. The choices were this , u7k , TCL Q7 or the OLED LG A2. I went with this mainly because it was the cheaper option out of all of these. but also because all the other Tv's have some major weakness I couldn't look past. The TCL Q7 has great constant but it brightness and color volume is very similar to the 5 series so not a good upgrade. The OLED A2 was 50% more money.plus it's a very dimm Tv that's bad at handling glare.. Also a deal braker for me since I need a Tv for daytime viewing. The U7k was the closest but it has banding issues.. weak native contrast but better contrast with local dimming.. Plus cost more money.. The R646 was the only one that had good everything across the board.. So while it may lose to the other Tv here and there . (even loses to my old 5 series in terms of contrast alone) Overall it's a better overall Tv. You really can't get a better overall Tv without paying at least x2 as much...
