Amazingly bright vibrant picture. Good at reducing glare. All the bells and whistles that a high end TV should have, but the Google TV system is buggy along with some other issues. Frequently apps like youtube and netflix will lock up and get kicked back to home screen. When apple tv first loads it will show it loading but never get to splash screen or app. All my devices are connected to my Yamaha AV receiver which has 4k passthrough and eArc compatible, but when trying to watch content through the HDMI 1 input the screen flashes black randomly and loses picture but sound keeps playing (HDMI 1 input and resolution pop-up comes up when the picture restores). Called TCL on that issue, their answer was to not hook up any devices to the AVR and only directly to the TV, which is not how it should have to be. Navigating to apps other than the standard ones is too many clicks through menus and such to see ones I have downloaded (Network apps, ESPN, etc.)

TV is amazing. Best purchase for the prices is worth everything.

if you're looking for the best picture quality for everything especially next gen gaming (I have a series X) this is the TV to get!! Even the boost in quality for Directv is insane as Im watching the NCAA tourney on it as we speak. Only issue is I have had to restart it 2 xs in the 3 weeks I had it but Im sure with more updates to google tv that will fix itself as still for 700 bucks you wont find a better deal on a tv period...

I don't know whether to give this a 5 star review or a 3 star review, so I split the difference and went with 4. The TV at its price in the market would easily be a 5 star if it worked seemlessly almost all of the time. However, it just doesn't, at least not with my Anthem MRX 710 receiver. I can watch a whole movie without issue, and then another half way through, again with no issue at all. Then out of nowhere I will lose ARC connection which causes the movie to stop and go back to the launch page. About 30 seconds later ARC returns and I can continue, but usually only for a few minutes before it happens again. I switched back to my Sony A8G OLED and will just minimize the usage as a computer monitor which is why I tried to switch. I have until 2/21 to return this, but I am pretty sure that is what I will do. Maybe it would work better with a newer receiver, but I am not switching receivers, so I think the TV will take the fall. FYI, I rated the sound quality as a 5, but this is grading against other TVs, I still would never use this without a sound system or at least a soundbar.

Quality to price is great! pros: Comes with google tv Quality of visuals is great Lightweight tv Comes with Google assistant on the tv, no need for a remote. cons: When turned off, the Google assistant turns off as well. Gave it 4 stars because there are better TVs on the market, but it does its job. Sound is fair, recommend buying a sound bar.

I eventually paid the extra bucks for the higher end TCL 6 series 55 inch (over the 4 or 5 series) for our master bedroom, primarily based on all of the many tech expert reviews out there touting the quality of this particular series and also because Best Buy had such a great sale going on. I was very already happy that TCL had now gone with the good decision to offer a TV utilizing the relatively new Google TV platform. I've soured on some of the recent decisions that Roku has been making and had already added on Google TV dongles to my other TVs. So buying a tv with Google TV built in was a huge plus. Many of the more negative reviews appear to be solely about the platform? I also added on an inexpensive TCL sound bar that utilizes Dolby Atmos and works quite nicely in a relatively smaller room. What WAS an almost immediate downer (and I was considering taking it back) was that it was disconnecting from wifi everyday. From what I deduced from the internet it was an issue only for those using Xfinity modem/routers. It was simple enough to go into the settings to forget my wifi and then reconnect, but it was a minor annoyance. The great news is that TCL came through (a couple of days ago) with a software fix, and I am now extremely happy with my buy!
