Excellent value

I love the google home tv, which is pretty much android tv but better. I am pretty satified with the local dimming and HDR performance, which is the main reason I bought this one. Im going in for a ARC soundbar and ill be happy with my living room set up for another decade.

A substantial improvement over the 55R635

I'm an Apple TV guy so I can't speak to the Google OS, but I highly recommend the TV for the picture quality. I almost bought the Roku version (55R635) until I learned that this model (55R646) supports WiFi 6 as well as 4K/120Hz HDR 10+ over HDMI 2.1, all of which the 55R635 does not.

Greta TV, worth the price!

Google TV OS could be better, but that’s not entirely TCL’s fault. Only issue I had was the IR receiver stopped working, but TCL support sent out a TV tech and the issue was just a pinched cable that was Abel to be rerouted once the TV’s back plate was removed.

Perfect for gaming and new 4k content.

Amazing and flawless performance with a xbox Series x and 4k PC gaming. It's bright and clear. For movies and TV show made before 2016 or so, I could not get rid of the grain and messy picture. Even with my trusty Nvidia Shield, it was just bad. With new movies and TV shows streaming in native 4k, it's perfect. For SD content (less than 1080p), it's just not happening. Oh yeah, the built in speakers have a very rich and full sound. Maybe not crystal clear but WOW it has some rich bass!
