Picture is nice and bright and a lot of nice features. Adding a sound bar is recommended

Looks fantastic! Love 120hz for compatible Xbox games. Google TV OS could be better, but that’s not entirely TCL’s fault. Only issue I had was the IR receiver stopped working, but TCL support sent out a TV tech and the issue was just a pinched cable that was Abel to be rerouted once the TV’s back plate was removed.

For 4k gaming, this is an absolute bargain! Amazing and flawless performance with a xbox Series x and 4k PC gaming. It's bright and clear. For movies and TV show made before 2016 or so, I could not get rid of the grain and messy picture. Even with my trusty Nvidia Shield, it was just bad. With new movies and TV shows streaming in native 4k, it's perfect. For SD content (less than 1080p), it's just not happening. Oh yeah, the built in speakers have a very rich and full sound. Maybe not crystal clear but WOW it has some rich bass!

Got it on sale for 400 and not even worth that. So glitchy, several buttons on remote no longer work, picture is rough sometimes, especially with cable and the correct hdmi, reached out to tcl support and have gotten a run around for weeks, can only use the tv by voice command and that doesn’t access everything needed. Will stick with Toshiba, never had an issue, shouldn’t have taken this recommendation.

Really surprised and happy with this TV. The colors and the HD look just right. If i had a compaint it would be with the sound being either a tad too high or too low when watching streaming shows and movies.

Screen looks great worh a few tweaks. Almost as good as an oled. Only issue is tjat the spunds stop working on the youtube app (the only one I use) about once a day. Just have to do a system restart in the settings to reset it. Might leave another review after I get my PS5.

I purchased this TV 55R646 and I definitely have some issues but I believe Best Buy, Google and TCL will fix the problems in short order. I purchased it on sale for $619.99 and I don’t believe you can get such a quality picture anywhere else near that price. Clarity is excellent Motion in gaming is good. Colors are vibrant Auto dimming is good. Great picture in a dark and bright room. Black uniformity is great. I like the Google interface. I also connected my home automation to it and I can speak and it will control my lights, see who is at my door and I performed video calling with no problem. I did connect a webcam to it. In general the picture quality is excellent and I don’t believe you will find another set with this quality at this price.

Purchased on sale for $699, and frankly there just isn’t anything else out there that offers some of the features anywhere near that price. Mini-led, HDR10, 120hz, HDMI 2.1 are all excellent, particularly if you have a next gen console. There are only 2 things missing, and one of them is a bit unreasonable at this price 1)no OLED panel. Mini LED simulates the OLED experience well, but it just doesn’t have that capability. For the price though it’s understandable. 2) google OS isn’t ideal. It’s certainly improved in the months since it’s released, but a long way to go. Full array would’ve been nice too, but again, mini led does help a bit with this, despite being able to see some ghosting if you REALLY look for it. Really good value at full price, an absolute steal in sale,

I bought this TV a year and a half ago and I have had an incredible experience. The miniLED screen is almost as good as an oled and that is a massive compliment. For the price you really can’t go wrong with this tv.

Very nice picture and options for the money. TV comes in 2 formats: Google or Roku. My wife & I selected Google since we were unfamiliar with Roku. This was a mistake. The Google version does not recognize Spectrum TV. Therefore the apps available on the TV do not allow a simple connection to our cable provider without struggling with AppleTV provided by Spectrum. Though the salesperson at BestBuy recommended that we get the Roku version, he did not tell us why. If we had to do this over again, we would have requested Roku.
